Psalms 98
1 Sing to Yahweh a new song, because he has done wonderful things! By his power [MTY] and his great strength [DOU] he has defeated [his enemies].
Ein Lied. - Ein neues Lied singt jetzt dem Herrn, dem Wundertäter, dem seine Rechte hilft, sein heiliger Arm!
2 Yahweh has declared to people that he has defeated his enemies; he has revealed that he has punished [them], and [people in] all the world have seen that he has done it.
Der Herr hat seinen Sieg verkündet, und vor der Heiden Augen offenbarte er sein Heil,
3 Like he promised to us Israeli people [MTY], he has faithfully loved us and (been loyal to/not abandoned) us. [People who live] in very remote places in all the earth have seen that our God has defeated [his enemies].
der Huld und Treue eingedenk zum Heil des Hauses Israels. Der Erde Enden alle sahen unseres Gottes Sieg.
4 All you [people] [MTY] everywhere should sing joyfully to Yahweh; praise him while you sing and shout joyfully!
Entgegenjauchze alle Welt dem Herrn! Frohlocket! jubelt! Singt!
5 Praise Yahweh while you play the lyres/harps, playing [delightful] music.
Lobsingt dem Herrn mit Zitherklang, mit Zitherklang und mit Gesang!
6 [Some of you should] blow trumpets and other horns, [while others] shout joyfully to Yahweh, [our] king.
Mit Hörnern und Posaunenschall, mit Jubel vor dem König, vor dem Herrn!
7 The oceans and all [the creatures] that are in the oceans should roar [to praise Yahweh]. Everyone on the earth should sing!
Das Meer und was es füllt, erbrause, die Welt und die drauf wohnen!
8 [It should seem as though] the rivers are clapping their hands [to praise Yahweh] and that the hills are singing together joyfully in front of Yahweh,
Die Ströme sollen Beifall klatschen,
9 because he will come to judge [everyone on] [MTY] the earth! He will judge [all] the people-groups [in the world] justly and fairly [DOU].
die Berge allzumal frohlocken vor dem Herrn, wenn er die Welt zu richten kommt! - Er richtet nach Gerechtigkeit die Welt, nach Billigkeit die Völker.
