Psalms 96
1 Sing to Yahweh a new song! [You people] throughout the earth, sing to Yahweh!
Cantate al Signore un canto nuovo, cantate al Signore da tutta la terra.
2 Sing to Yahweh and praise him [MTY]! Every day proclaim [to others] that he has saved/rescued us.
Cantate al Signore, benedite il suo nome, annunziate di giorno in giorno la sua salvezza.
3 Tell about his glory/greatness to all people-groups; tell all people-groups the marvelous [things that he has done].
In mezzo ai popoli raccontate la sua gloria, a tutte le nazioni dite i suoi prodigi.
4 Yahweh is great, and he deserves to be praised very much; he should be revered more than for all the gods,
Grande è il Signore e degno di ogni lode, terribile sopra tutti gli dei.
5 because all the gods that other people-groups [worship] are [only] idols, but Yahweh [is truly great]; he created the skies!
Tutti gli dei delle nazioni sono un nulla, ma il Signore ha fatto i cieli.
6 Those who are in his presence honor him and can see that he is a great king. They can see in his temple that he is very powerful and is very beautiful.
Maestà e bellezza sono davanti a lui, potenza e splendore nel suo santuario.
7 You people in nations all over the earth, praise Yahweh! Praise Yahweh for his glorious power [HEN]!
Date al Signore, o famiglie dei popoli, date al Signore gloria e potenza,
8 Praise Yahweh like he deserves to be praised, Bring an offering and come to his temple.
date al Signore la gloria del suo nome. Portate offerte ed entrate nei suoi atri,
9 Bow down before Yahweh [when he appears] in his holy/sacred temple; everyone on the earth should tremble in front of him, because he is majestic and holy.
prostratevi al Signore in sacri ornamenti. Tremi davanti a lui tutta la terra.
10 Say to all the people-groups, “Yahweh is the king! He put the world in its place, and nothing will ever be able to move/shake it. He will judge [all] the people-groups fairly.”
Dite tra i popoli: «Il Signore regna!». Sorregge il mondo, perché non vacilli; giudica le nazioni con rettitudine.
11 [All the beings that are in] [MTY] the heavens should be glad, and all [the people on the] earth should rejoice. The oceans and all the creatures that are in the oceans should roar [to praise Yahweh].
Gioiscano i cieli, esulti la terra, frema il mare e quanto racchiude;
12 The fields and everything that grows in them should rejoice. When they do that, [it will be as though] all the trees in the forests will sing joyfully
esultino i campi e quanto contengono, si rallegrino gli alberi della foresta
13 in front of Yahweh. That will happen when he comes to judge [everyone on] [MTY] the earth. He will judge all the people fairly/justly, according to [what he knows is] true.
davanti al Signore che viene, perché viene a giudicare la terra. Giudicherà il mondo con giustizia e con verità tutte le genti.
