Psalms 96
1 Sing to Yahweh a new song! [You people] throughout the earth, sing to Yahweh!
Singet dem HERRN ein neues Lied, singet dem HERRN, alle Lande!
2 Sing to Yahweh and praise him [MTY]! Every day proclaim [to others] that he has saved/rescued us.
Singt dem HERRN, preist seinen Namen, verkündet Tag für Tag sein Heil!
3 Tell about his glory/greatness to all people-groups; tell all people-groups the marvelous [things that he has done].
Erzählt von seiner Herrlichkeit unter den Heiden, unter allen Völkern seine Wundertaten!
4 Yahweh is great, and he deserves to be praised very much; he should be revered more than for all the gods,
Denn groß ist der HERR und hoch zu preisen, mehr zu fürchten als alle andern Götter;
5 because all the gods that other people-groups [worship] are [only] idols, but Yahweh [is truly great]; he created the skies!
denn alle Götter der Heiden sind nichtige Götzen, doch der HERR hat den Himmel geschaffen.
6 Those who are in his presence honor him and can see that he is a great king. They can see in his temple that he is very powerful and is very beautiful.
Hoheit und Pracht gehn vor ihm her, Macht und Herrlichkeit füllen sein Heiligtum.
7 You people in nations all over the earth, praise Yahweh! Praise Yahweh for his glorious power [HEN]!
Bringt dar dem HERRN, ihr Geschlechter der Völker, bringt dar dem HERRN Ehre und Preis!
8 Praise Yahweh like he deserves to be praised, Bring an offering and come to his temple.
Bringt dar dem HERRN die Ehre seines Namens, bringt Opfergaben und kommt in seine Vorhöfe!
9 Bow down before Yahweh [when he appears] in his holy/sacred temple; everyone on the earth should tremble in front of him, because he is majestic and holy.
Werft vor dem HERRN euch nieder in heiligem Schmuck, erzittert vor ihm, alle Lande!
10 Say to all the people-groups, “Yahweh is the king! He put the world in its place, and nothing will ever be able to move/shake it. He will judge [all] the people-groups fairly.”
Verkündet unter den Heiden: »Der HERR ist König! Und feststehn wird der Erdkreis, daß er nicht wankt; richten wird er die Völker nach Gebühr.«
11 [All the beings that are in] [MTY] the heavens should be glad, and all [the people on the] earth should rejoice. The oceans and all the creatures that are in the oceans should roar [to praise Yahweh].
Des freue sich der Himmel, die Erde jauchze, es brause das Meer und was darin wimmelt!
12 The fields and everything that grows in them should rejoice. When they do that, [it will be as though] all the trees in the forests will sing joyfully
Es jauchze die Flur und was auf ihr wächst! Dann werden auch jubeln alle Bäume des Waldes
13 in front of Yahweh. That will happen when he comes to judge [everyone on] [MTY] the earth. He will judge all the people fairly/justly, according to [what he knows is] true.
vor dem HERRN, wenn er kommt, wenn er kommt, zu richten die Erde. Richten wird er den Erdkreis mit Gerechtigkeit und die Völker mit seiner Treue.
