< Psalms 93 >

1 Yahweh, you are the King! You are majestic, and the power that you have is [like] [MET] a robe that a king wears. You put the world firmly in place, and it will never be moved/shaken.
The Praise of a Canticle, of David himself. In the time before the Sabbath, when the earth was founded. The Lord has reigned. He has been clothed with beauty. The Lord has been clothed with strength, and he has girded himself. Yet he has also confirmed the world, which will not be moved.
2 You ruled as king a very long time ago; you have always existed.
My throne is prepared from of old. You are from everlasting.
3 Yahweh, [when you created the world, you separated] the water from [the chaotic mass and formed oceans], and the waves of the waters [of those oceans] still roar,
The floods have lifted up, O Lord, the floods have lifted up their voice. The floods have lifted up their waves,
4 [but] you are greater than the roar of those oceans, more powerful than the ocean waves! You are Yahweh, the one who is greater than any other god!
before the noise of many waters. Wondrous are the surges of the sea; wondrous is the Lord on high.
5 Yahweh, your laws never change, and your temple has always been holy/sacred. And that will be true forever.
Your testimonies have been made exceedingly trustworthy. Sanctity befits your house, O Lord, with length of days.
