Psalms 87

1 The city that Yahweh established is on his sacred hill.

੧ਕੋਰਹ ਵੰਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ। ਗੀਤ। ਉਹ ਦੀ ਨੀਂਹ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪਰਬਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ।

2 He loves that city, Jerusalem, more than he loves any other city in Israel.

੨ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਡੇਰਿਆਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਸੀਯੋਨ ਦੇ ਫਾਟਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ।

3 [You people in] [APO] the city that God (owns/lives in), people say wonderful things about your city.

੩ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ, ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਬੋਲ ਬੋਲੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ! ਸਲਹ।

4 [Some of those who know about God are the people of] Egypt and Babylonia, and also [the people of] Philistia and Tyre and Ethiopia; [some day they all] will say, “[Although I was not born in Jerusalem], [because I belong to Yahweh, it is as though] I was born there.”

੪ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਜਾਣੂਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਬ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਬਲ ਦਾ ਚਰਚਾ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ, ਵੇਖੋ, ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤ ਅਤੇ ਸੂਰ ਅਤੇ ਕੂਸ਼ ਦਾ ਵੀ, ਕਿ ਇਹ ਉੱਥੇ ਜੰਮਿਆਂ ਸੀ।

5 And concerning Jerusalem, people will say [“It is as though] everyone was born there, and Almighty God will cause that city to remain strong/safe/secure.”

੫ਸਗੋਂ ਸੀਯੋਨ ਲਈ ਆਖਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਕਿ ਇਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉੱਥੇ ਜੰਮੇ, ਅਤੇ ਅੱਤ ਮਹਾਨ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਇਮ ਰੱਖੇਗਾ।

6 Yahweh will write a list of [the names of] the people of various groups [who belong to him], and he will say that [he considers them] all to be citizens of Jerusalem.

੬ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉੱਮਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖੇਗਾ, ਕਿ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਉੱਥੇ ਜੰਮਿਆ। ਸਲਹ।

7 They will all dance and sing, saying, “Jerusalem is the source of all our blessings.”

੭ਰਾਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਚਾਰ ਆਖਣਗੇ, ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਚਸ਼ਮੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹਨ।
