Psalms 87

1 The city that Yahweh established is on his sacred hill.

കോരഹ് പുത്രന്മാരുടെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം; ഒരു ഗീതം. യഹോവ വിശുദ്ധപർവതത്തിൽ തന്റെ നഗരം സ്ഥാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

2 He loves that city, Jerusalem, more than he loves any other city in Israel.

യാക്കോബിന്റെ സകലനിവാസസ്ഥാനങ്ങളെക്കാളും സീയോന്റെ കവാടങ്ങളെ അവിടന്ന് സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു.

3 [You people in] [APO] the city that God (owns/lives in), people say wonderful things about your city.

ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നഗരമേ, നിന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു മഹത്തരമായ കാര്യങ്ങൾ പറയപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു: (സേലാ)

4 [Some of those who know about God are the people of] Egypt and Babylonia, and also [the people of] Philistia and Tyre and Ethiopia; [some day they all] will say, “[Although I was not born in Jerusalem], [because I belong to Yahweh, it is as though] I was born there.”

“എന്നെ അംഗീകരിക്കുന്നവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ ഞാൻ രഹബിനെയും ബാബേലിനെയും രേഖപ്പെടുത്തും— ഫെലിസ്ത്യദേശവും സോരും കൂശും അക്കൂട്ടത്തിലുണ്ട്— ‘ഇവൻ സീയോനിൽ ജനിച്ചു,’ എന്നു പറയപ്പെടും.”

5 And concerning Jerusalem, people will say [“It is as though] everyone was born there, and Almighty God will cause that city to remain strong/safe/secure.”

സീയോനെപ്പറ്റി ഇപ്രകാരം പറയും, നിശ്ചയം, “ഇവനും അവനും ജനിച്ചത് ഇവിടെയാണ്, അത്യുന്നതൻതന്നെയാണ് സീയോനെ സ്ഥാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്.”

6 Yahweh will write a list of [the names of] the people of various groups [who belong to him], and he will say that [he considers them] all to be citizens of Jerusalem.

യഹോവ ജനതകളുടെ ജനസംഖ്യ എടുക്കുമ്പോൾ: “ഈ ആൾ സീയോനിൽ ജനിച്ചു,” എന്നു രേഖപ്പെടുത്തും. (സേലാ)

7 They will all dance and sing, saying, “Jerusalem is the source of all our blessings.”

ഗായകരെപ്പോലെ നർത്തകരും “എന്റെ എല്ലാ ഉറവിടവും അങ്ങയിൽ ആകുന്നു,” എന്നു പാടും.
