Psalms 87

1 The city that Yahweh established is on his sacred hill.

Le sue fondamenta sono sui monti santi; Dei figli di Core. Salmo. Canto.

2 He loves that city, Jerusalem, more than he loves any other city in Israel.

il Signore ama le porte di Sion più di tutte le dimore di Giacobbe.

3 [You people in] [APO] the city that God (owns/lives in), people say wonderful things about your city.

Di te si dicono cose stupende, città di Dio.

4 [Some of those who know about God are the people of] Egypt and Babylonia, and also [the people of] Philistia and Tyre and Ethiopia; [some day they all] will say, “[Although I was not born in Jerusalem], [because I belong to Yahweh, it is as though] I was born there.”

Ricorderò Raab e Babilonia fra quelli che mi conoscono; ecco, Palestina, Tiro ed Etiopia: tutti là sono nati.

5 And concerning Jerusalem, people will say [“It is as though] everyone was born there, and Almighty God will cause that city to remain strong/safe/secure.”

Si dirà di Sion: «L'uno e l'altro è nato in essa e l'Altissimo la tiene salda».

6 Yahweh will write a list of [the names of] the people of various groups [who belong to him], and he will say that [he considers them] all to be citizens of Jerusalem.

Il Signore scriverà nel libro dei popoli: «Là costui è nato».

7 They will all dance and sing, saying, “Jerusalem is the source of all our blessings.”

E danzando canteranno: «Sono in te tutte le mie sorgenti».
