Psalms 8

1 Yahweh, our Lord, people all over the world know that you [MTY] are very great! Your glory reaches up higher than the heavens!

Mai marelui muzician pe harpă, un psalm al lui David. DOAMNE, Domnul nostru, cât de măreț este numele tău în tot pământul! Tu care ai pus gloria ta deasupra cerurilor.

2 You have taught little children and infants to praise you; they cause your enemies and those who try to (get revenge on/get rid of) you to be silent.

Din gura pruncilor și a sugarilor ți-ai rânduit tărie, datorită dușmanilor tăi, ca să amuțești pe dușman și pe răzbunător.

3 When I look up at the sky [at night], and see the things that you have made— the moon and the stars that you have set in place—

Când privesc cerurile tale, lucrarea degetelor tale, luna și stelele, pe care le-ai rânduit;

4 it is amazing [to me] that [RHQ] you think about people, that you are concerned about [us] humans!

Ce este omul, să îți amintești de el, și fiul omului să îl cercetezi?

5 You made the angels in heaven to be only a little more important than we are; you caused us to be like kings [MET] and you gave us splendor and honor [DOU]!

Fiindcă l-ai făcut cu puțin mai prejos decât îngerii și l-ai încoronat cu glorie și onoare.

6 You put us in charge of everything that you made; you gave us authority over all things—

L-ai făcut să domnească peste lucrările mâinilor tale; ai pus toate sub picioarele lui;

7 the sheep and the cattle, and even the wild animals,

Toate oile și toți boii, da, și animalele câmpului;

8 the birds, the fish, and everything [else] that swims in the seas.

Păsările cerului și peștii mării și orice străbate cărările mărilor.

9 Yahweh, our Lord, people all over the world know that you [MTY] are very great!

DOAMNE, Domnul nostru, cât de măreț este numele tău pe tot pământul!
