Psalms 75
1 We give thanks to you; our God, we thank you. You are close to us, and we proclaim to others the wonderful things that you have done [for us].
ऐ ख़ुदा, हम तेरा शुक्र करते हैं, हम तेरा शुक्र करते हैं; क्यूँकि तेरा नाम नज़दीक है, लोग तेरे 'अजीब कामों का ज़िक्र करते हैं।
2 [You have said], “I have appointed a time when I will judge people, and I will judge [everyone] fairly.
जब मेरा मु'अय्यन वक़्त आएगा, तो मैं रास्ती से 'अदालत करूँगा।
3 When the earth shakes and all the creatures on the earth tremble, I am the one who will (keep its foundations steady/prevent it from being destroyed).
ज़मीन और उसके सब बाशिन्दे गुदाज़ हो गए हैं, मैंने उसके सुतूनों को क़ाईम कर दिया।
4 I say to people who (boast/talk proudly about themselves), ‘Stop bragging!’ and I say to wicked people, ‘Do not proudly [do things to] show how great you are [IDM]!
मैंने मग़रूरों से कहा, गु़रूर न करो, और शरीरों से, कि सींग ऊँचा न करो।
5 Do not be arrogant, and do not speak so boastfully!’”
अपना सींग ऊँचा न करो, बग़ावत से बात न करो।
6 The one who judges people does not come from the east or from the west, and he does not come from the desert.
क्यूँकि सरफ़राज़ी न तो पूरब से न पश्चिम से, और न दख्खिन से आती है;
7 God is the one who judges people; he says that some have sinned and must be punished, and that others have not done what is wrong.
बल्कि ख़ुदा ही 'अदालत करने वाला है; वह किसी को पस्त करता है और किसी को सरफ़राज़ी बख़्शता है।
8 [It is as though] Yahweh holds a cup in his hand; it is filled with wine that [has spices] mixed in it [to cause those who drink it to become more drunk]; and when Yahweh pours it out, he will force all the wicked people to drink it; they will drink every drop of it, [which means that he will give them all the punishment that they deserve].
क्यूँकि ख़ुदावन्द के हाथ में प्याला है, और मय झाग वाली है; वह मिली हुई शराब से भरा है, और ख़ुदावन्द उसी में से उंडेलता है; बेशक उसकी तलछट ज़मीन के सब शरीर निचोड़ निचोड़ कर पिएँगे।
9 But [as for me], I will never stop saying what the God whom Jacob [worshiped has done]; I will never quit singing to praise him.
लेकिन मैं तो हमेशा ज़िक्र करता रहूँगा, मैं या'क़ूब के ख़ुदा की मदहसराई करूँगा।
10 He will destroy the power [IDM] of wicked people, but he will cause righteous people to become more powerful.
और मैं शरीरों के सब सींग काट डालूँगा लेकिन सादिकों के सींग ऊँचे किए जाएंगे।
