Psalms 75
1 We give thanks to you; our God, we thank you. You are close to us, and we proclaim to others the wonderful things that you have done [for us].
Para el director del coro. Un Salmo de Asaf. Según la canción “No destruyas”. Una canción. Te agradecemos, oh Dios, porque estás junto a nosotros. Toda la gente habla sobre tus maravillas.
2 [You have said], “I have appointed a time when I will judge people, and I will judge [everyone] fairly.
Dios dice: “Cuando decida el momento, juzgaré con justicia.
3 When the earth shakes and all the creatures on the earth tremble, I am the one who will (keep its foundations steady/prevent it from being destroyed).
Cuando la tierra tiemble, así como sus habitantes, yo la mantendré firme. (Selah)
4 I say to people who (boast/talk proudly about themselves), ‘Stop bragging!’ and I say to wicked people, ‘Do not proudly [do things to] show how great you are [IDM]!
A los que se jactan dije: ‘¡No se jacten!’ Le dije a los malvados: ‘¡Dejen el orgullo!’
5 Do not be arrogant, and do not speak so boastfully!’”
No, no sean arrogantes y orgullosos, insultando al cielo”.
6 The one who judges people does not come from the east or from the west, and he does not come from the desert.
Porque nadie, ni en el este o en el oeste, o incluso en el desierto debe pensar de sí mismo con justicia.
7 God is the one who judges people; he says that some have sinned and must be punished, and that others have not done what is wrong.
Dios es el que decide quién se levantará y quién caerá.
8 [It is as though] Yahweh holds a cup in his hand; it is filled with wine that [has spices] mixed in it [to cause those who drink it to become more drunk]; and when Yahweh pours it out, he will force all the wicked people to drink it; they will drink every drop of it, [which means that he will give them all the punishment that they deserve].
Porque el Señor tiene una copa en su mano, llena de vino espumoso mezclado con especias. Él vierte el vino, y todos los malvados lo beberán, hasta la última gota.
9 But [as for me], I will never stop saying what the God whom Jacob [worshiped has done]; I will never quit singing to praise him.
Pero yo hablaré de ti para siempre. Cantaré alabanzas al Dios de Jacob.
10 He will destroy the power [IDM] of wicked people, but he will cause righteous people to become more powerful.
Porque Dios dice: “Quebraré el poder de los malvados, pero aumentaré el poder de los justos”.
