Psalms 75
1 We give thanks to you; our God, we thank you. You are close to us, and we proclaim to others the wonderful things that you have done [for us].
| برای رهبر سرایندگان: در مایۀ «نابود نکن». مزمور آساف. سرود. تو را سپاس می‌گویم ای خدا، تو را سپاس می‌گویم! تو به ما نزدیک هستی و ما کارهای شگفت‌انگیز تو را اعلام می‌کنیم. |
2 [You have said], “I have appointed a time when I will judge people, and I will judge [everyone] fairly.
| خداوند می‌فرماید: «وقتی زمان معین برسد، مردم را از روی عدل و انصاف داوری خواهم کرد. |
3 When the earth shakes and all the creatures on the earth tremble, I am the one who will (keep its foundations steady/prevent it from being destroyed).
| وقتی زمین بلرزد و ساکنانش هراسان شوند، مَنَم که ارکان آن را محکم نگاه می‌دارم. |
4 I say to people who (boast/talk proudly about themselves), ‘Stop bragging!’ and I say to wicked people, ‘Do not proudly [do things to] show how great you are [IDM]!
| «به متکبران و شروران می‌گویم که مغرور نباشند |
5 Do not be arrogant, and do not speak so boastfully!’”
| و از بلندپروازی و لاف زدن دست بردارند.» |
6 The one who judges people does not come from the east or from the west, and he does not come from the desert.
| زیرا سرافرازی انسان نه از غرب می‌آید نه از شرق و نه از هیچ جای دیگر، |
7 God is the one who judges people; he says that some have sinned and must be punished, and that others have not done what is wrong.
| بلکه خداست که داوری می‌کند؛ اوست که یکی را سرافراز و دیگری را سرافکنده می‌نماید. |
8 [It is as though] Yahweh holds a cup in his hand; it is filled with wine that [has spices] mixed in it [to cause those who drink it to become more drunk]; and when Yahweh pours it out, he will force all the wicked people to drink it; they will drink every drop of it, [which means that he will give them all the punishment that they deserve].
| خداوند جامی در دست دارد که از شراب تند و قوی غضب او پر است. او آن را به تمام شریران خواهد نوشانید و آنها آن را تا قطرۀ آخر سر خواهند کشید. |
9 But [as for me], I will never stop saying what the God whom Jacob [worshiped has done]; I will never quit singing to praise him.
| اما من از تعریف و تمجید خدای یعقوب باز نخواهم ایستاد، بلکه پیوسته در وصف او سرود خواهم خواند! |
10 He will destroy the power [IDM] of wicked people, but he will cause righteous people to become more powerful.
| او قدرت شریران را در هم خواهد شکست و عادلان را تقویت خواهد نمود. |
