Psalms 73
1 God truly is good to [us] Israeli people, to those who totally want to do all that God desires.
૧ઇઝરાયલ કે, જેઓનાં હૃદય શુદ્ધ છે, તેઓના પર, ઈશ્વર ખરેખર પરોપકારી છે.
2 As for me, I almost [stopped trusting in God]; [it was as though] my feet slipped and I stumbled [MET],
૨પણ મેં તો મારે પગે લગભગ ઠોકર ખાધી હતી; હું પગલાં ભરતાં લગભગ લપસી ગયો હતો.
3 because I envied those who proudly [said that they did not need God], and I saw that they prospered [even though] they were wicked.
૩કારણ કે જ્યારે મેં દુષ્ટોની સમૃદ્ધિ જોઈ, ત્યારે મેં ગર્વિષ્ઠોની અદેખાઈ કરી.
4 Those people do not have any pains; they are [always] strong and healthy.
૪કેમ કે મરણ સમયે તેઓને વેદના થતી નથી, પણ તેઓ મજબૂત અને દ્રઢ રહે છે.
5 They do not have the troubles/difficulties that other people have; they do not have problems like others do.
૫તેઓના પર માનવજાતનાં દુ: ખો આવતાં નથી; બીજાઓની જેમ તેઓને પીડા થતી નથી.
6 So they are proud, and their being proud is [like] a necklace [that they show to others], and they show off their violent actions like people show off their beautiful robes.
૬તેઓનો ગર્વ ગળાની કંઠી જેવો છે, જે વસ્ત્રની જેમ જુલમ તેઓને ઢાંકી રાખે છે.
7 From their inner beings they (pour out/do) evil deeds, and they are always thinking about more evil things to do.
૭તેઓની દુષ્ટતા તેઓનાં હૃદયમાંથી ઊભરાયા કરે છે; તેઓના મનની દુષ્ટ કલ્પનાઓ ઊભરાઈ જાય છે.
8 They scoff at [other people], and they talk about doing evil things to them; they are proud while they plan to oppress others.
૮તેઓ નિંદા કરે છે અને ભૂંડાઈ વિષે બોલે છે; તેઓ જુલમની બડાઈ હાંકે છે.
9 They say evil things about [God who is in] heaven [MTY], and they talk boastfully/proudly about things [that they have done] here on the earth.
૯તેઓ આકાશો વિરુદ્ધ બોલે છે અને પૃથ્વીમાં તેઓની જીભ છૂટથી ચાલે છે.
10 The result is that people listen to what they say and praise them and do not think that they have done anything that is wrong.
૧૦એ માટે ઈશ્વરના લોકો તેમની તરફ ફરશે અને તેઓ ઊભરાતું પાણી પી જાય છે.
11 Wicked people say [to themselves], “God will certainly not [RHQ] know [what we have done]; [people say that] he is greater than any other god, but he does not know [everything].”
૧૧તેઓ પૂછે છે કે, “ઈશ્વર કેવી રીતે જાણે છે? શું ચાલી રહ્યું છે તે વિષે ઈશ્વર માહિતગાર છે?”
12 That is what wicked people are like; they never worry about anything, and they are always becoming richer.
૧૨જુઓ, આ લોકો દુષ્ટ છે; હંમેશાં શાંતિમાં રહીને તેઓ વધારે અને વધારે ધનવાન થતા જાય છે.
13 [So, God], I think it is useless that I have [RHQ] always done what you want me to, and that I have not sinned.
૧૩ખરેખર મેં મારું હૃદય અમથું શુદ્ધ રાખ્યું છે અને મેં મારા હાથ નિરર્થક નિર્દોષ રાખ્યા છે.
14 All day long I have problems, and every morning you punish me.
૧૪કારણ કે આખો દિવસ હું પીડાયા કરું છું અને દરરોજ સવારે મને શિક્ષા થાય છે.
15 If I had said the things that the wicked people say, I would have been sinning against your people.
૧૫જો મેં કહ્યું હોત, “હું આ પ્રમાણે બોલીશ,” તો હું તમારા દીકરાઓની પેઢીનો વિશ્વાસઘાત કરત.
16 And when I tried to think about all this, it was very difficult for me [to understand it].
૧૬તો પણ આ બાબતો સમજવાને માટે મેં કોશિશ કરી, એ મારા માટે ખૂબ અઘરી હતી.
17 But when I went to your temple, [you spoke to me], and I understood what will happen to the wicked people [after they die].
૧૭પછી હું ઈશ્વરના પવિત્રસ્થાનમાં ગયો અને ત્યાં તેઓના અંત વિષે હું સમજ્યો.
18 [Now I know that] you will surely put them in slippery places, and they will fall down and die.
૧૮ચોક્કસ તમે તેઓને લપસણી જગ્યામાં મૂકો છો; તમે તેઓનો વિનાશ કરો છો.
19 They will be destroyed instantly; they will die in terrible ways.
૧૯તેઓ એક ક્ષણમાં કેવા નષ્ટ થાય છે! તેઓ ધાકથી છેક નાશ પામેલા છે.
20 They [will disappear as quickly] as a dream disappears when a person awakes in the morning; Lord, when you arise, you will (cause them to disappear/forget all about them).
૨૦માણસ જાગે કે તરત જ તે જેમ સ્વપ્ન હતું ન હતું થઈ જાય છે, તેમ, હે પ્રભુ, તમે જાગીને તેઓની પ્રતિમાને તુચ્છ કરશો.
21 When I felt sad/bitter, and brokenhearted,
૨૧કેમ કે મારું હૃદય વ્યાકુળ થયું અને હું બહુ ગંભીર રીતે ઝખમી થયો છું.
22 I was stupid and ignorant, and I behaved like an animal toward you.
૨૨હું એવો જડબુદ્ધિનો તથા અજ્ઞાન હતો; હું તમારી આગળ પશુ જેવો હતો.
23 But I am always close to you, and you hold my hand.
૨૩પણ હું હંમેશા તમારી સાથે છું; તમે મારો જમણો હાથ પકડી રાખ્યો છે.
24 You guide me by teaching me, and (at the end [of my life]/when I die), you will receive me and honor me.
૨૪તમારા બોધથી મને દોરવણી આપશો અને પછી તમારા મહિમામાં મારો સ્વીકાર કરશો.
25 You are in heaven and I belong to you [RHQ], and there is nothing on this earth that I desire more than that.
૨૫આકાશમાં તમારા વિના મારું બીજું કોણ છે? પૃથ્વી પર મારો બીજો કોઈ પ્રિય નથી.
26 My body and my mind may become very weak, but God, you continue to enable me to be strong; I belong to you forever.
૨૬મારું શરીર તથા હૃદયનો ક્ષય થાય છે, પણ ઈશ્વર સદાકાળ મારા હૃદયનો ગઢ તથા વારસો છે.
27 Those who remain far from you will be destroyed; you will get rid of those who abandon you.
૨૭જેઓ તમારાથી દૂર છે તેઓ નાશ પામશે; જેઓ તમને અવિશ્વાસુ છે તે સર્વનો તમે નાશ કરશો.
28 But [as for] me, it is wonderful to be near to God and to be protected by Yahweh, and to proclaim to others all that he has done [for me].
૨૮પણ ઈશ્વર પાસે આવવું, તેમાં મારું ભલું છે. મેં પ્રભુ યહોવાહને મારો આશ્રય કર્યો છે. હું તમારાં સર્વ કૃત્યો પ્રગટ કરીશ.
