Psalms 73
1 God truly is good to [us] Israeli people, to those who totally want to do all that God desires.
Psaume d'Asaph. Quoi qu'il en soit, Dieu est bon à Israël, [savoir], à ceux qui sont nets de cœurs.
2 As for me, I almost [stopped trusting in God]; [it was as though] my feet slipped and I stumbled [MET],
Or quant à moi, mes pieds m'ont presque manqué, [et] il s'en est peu fallu que mes pas n'aient glissé.
3 because I envied those who proudly [said that they did not need God], and I saw that they prospered [even though] they were wicked.
Car j'ai porté envie aux insensés, en voyant la prospérité des méchants.
4 Those people do not have any pains; they are [always] strong and healthy.
Parce qu'il n'y a point d'angoisses en leur mort, mais leur force est en son entier.
5 They do not have the troubles/difficulties that other people have; they do not have problems like others do.
Ils ne sont point en travail avec les [autres] hommes, et ils ne sont point battus avec les [autres] hommes.
6 So they are proud, and their being proud is [like] a necklace [that they show to others], and they show off their violent actions like people show off their beautiful robes.
C'est pourquoi l'orgueil les environne comme un collier, et un vêtement de violence les couvre.
7 From their inner beings they (pour out/do) evil deeds, and they are always thinking about more evil things to do.
Les yeux leur sortent dehors à force de graisse; ils surpassent les desseins de [leur] cœur.
8 They scoff at [other people], and they talk about doing evil things to them; they are proud while they plan to oppress others.
Ils sont pernicieux, et parlent malicieusement d'opprimer; ils parlent comme placés sur un lieu élevé.
9 They say evil things about [God who is in] heaven [MTY], and they talk boastfully/proudly about things [that they have done] here on the earth.
Ils mettent leur bouche aux cieux, et leur langue parcourt la terre.
10 The result is that people listen to what they say and praise them and do not think that they have done anything that is wrong.
C'est pourquoi son peuple en revient là, quand on lui fait sucer l'eau à plein [verre].
11 Wicked people say [to themselves], “God will certainly not [RHQ] know [what we have done]; [people say that] he is greater than any other god, but he does not know [everything].”
Et ils disent: comment le [Dieu] Fort connaîtrait-il, et y aurait-il de la connaissance au Souverain?
12 That is what wicked people are like; they never worry about anything, and they are always becoming richer.
Voilà, ceux-ci sont méchants, et étant à leur aise en ce monde, ils acquièrent de plus en plus des richesses.
13 [So, God], I think it is useless that I have [RHQ] always done what you want me to, and that I have not sinned.
Quoi qu'il en soit, c'est en vain que j'ai purifié mon cœur, et que j'ai lavé mes mains dans l'innocence.
14 All day long I have problems, and every morning you punish me.
Car j'ai été battu tous les jours, et mon châtiment revenait tous les matins.
15 If I had said the things that the wicked people say, I would have been sinning against your people.
[Mais] quand j'ai dit: j'en parlerai ainsi; voilà, j'ai été infidèle à la génération de tes enfants.
16 And when I tried to think about all this, it was very difficult for me [to understand it].
Toutefois j'ai tâché à connaître cela; mais cela m'a paru fort difficile.
17 But when I went to your temple, [you spoke to me], and I understood what will happen to the wicked people [after they die].
Jusques à ce que je sois entré au sanctuaire du [Dieu] Fort, [et] que j'aie considéré la fin de telles gens.
18 [Now I know that] you will surely put them in slippery places, and they will fall down and die.
Quoi qu'il en soit, tu les as mis en des lieux glissants, tu les fais tomber dans des précipices.
19 They will be destroyed instantly; they will die in terrible ways.
Comment ont-ils été ainsi détruits en un moment? sont-ils défaillis? ont-ils été consumés d'épouvantements?
20 They [will disappear as quickly] as a dream disappears when a person awakes in the morning; Lord, when you arise, you will (cause them to disappear/forget all about them).
Ils sont comme un songe lorsqu'on s'est réveillé. Seigneur tu mettras en mépris leur ressemblance quand tu te réveilleras.
21 When I felt sad/bitter, and brokenhearted,
[Or] quand mon cœur s'aigrissait, et que je me tourmentais en mes reins;
22 I was stupid and ignorant, and I behaved like an animal toward you.
J'étais alors stupide, et je n'avais aucune connaissance; j'étais comme une brute en ta présence.
23 But I am always close to you, and you hold my hand.
Je serai donc toujours avec toi; tu m'as pris par la main droite,
24 You guide me by teaching me, and (at the end [of my life]/when I die), you will receive me and honor me.
Tu me conduiras par ton conseil, et puis tu me recevras dans la gloire.
25 You are in heaven and I belong to you [RHQ], and there is nothing on this earth that I desire more than that.
Quel autre ai-je au Ciel? Or je n'ai pris plaisir sur la terre en rien qu'en toi seul.
26 My body and my mind may become very weak, but God, you continue to enable me to be strong; I belong to you forever.
Ma chair et mon cœur étaient consumés; mais Dieu est le rocher de mon cœur, et mon partage à toujours.
27 Those who remain far from you will be destroyed; you will get rid of those who abandon you.
Car voilà, ceux qui s'éloignent de toi, périront; tu retrancheras tous ceux qui se détournent de toi.
28 But [as for] me, it is wonderful to be near to God and to be protected by Yahweh, and to proclaim to others all that he has done [for me].
Mais pour moi, approcher de Dieu est mon bien; j'ai mis toute mon espérance au Seigneur Eternel, afin que je raconte tous tes ouvrages.
