Psalms 71
1 Yahweh, I have come to you to (get refuge/be protected); never allow me to become ashamed [because of being defeated].
੧ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਾ ਨਾ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ!
2 Because you always do what is right, help me and rescue me; listen to me, and save me!
੨ਆਪਣੇ ਧਰਮ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰਾ ਛੁਟਕਾਰਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਛੁਡਾ, ਆਪਣਾ ਕੰਨ ਮੇਰੀ ਵੱਲ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਚਾ!
3 Be [like an overhanging] rock [MET] under which I [can be] safe/protected; [be like] a strong fortress in which I am safe [DOU]. You [continually] command (OR, [Continually] command) [your angels] to rescue me.
੩ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਦੀ ਚੱਟਾਨ ਬਣ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਮੈਂ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਜਾਇਆ ਕਰਾਂ, ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਚਾਓ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਚੱਟਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਗੜ੍ਹ ਹੈਂ।
4 God, rescue me from wicked [people], from the power of unjust and evil men.
੪ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਧਰਮੀ ਤੇ ਜ਼ਾਲਿਮ ਦੇ ਪੰਜਿਓਂ ਛੁਡਾ!
5 Yahweh, my Lord, you are the one whom I confidently expect [to help me]; I have trusted in you since I was young.
੫ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਆਸ ਹੈਂ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਵਾਨੀ ਤੋਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੈ।
6 I have depended on you all my life; you have taken care of me [IDM] since the day that I was born, [so] I will always praise you.
੬ਮੈਂ ਜਨਮ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸੰਭਾਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ, ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਤਾ ਦੀ ਕੁੱਖ ਤੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੱਢਿਆ, ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਤੇਰੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।
7 The manner in which I have conducted my life has been an example to many [people], because [they realize that] you have been my strong defender.
੭ਮੈਂ ਬਹੁਤਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਅਚੰਭਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਬਣਿਆ, ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਪੱਕੀ ਪਨਾਹ ਹੈਂ।
8 I praise you all day long, and I proclaim that you are glorious/wonderful.
੮ਮੇਰਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਤੇਰੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ੰਸਾ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰਾ ਦਿਨ ਭਰਿਆ ਰਹੇਗਾ।
9 Now, when I have become an old man, do not reject/abandon me; do not abandon me now, when I am not strong any more.
੯ਬੁਢੇਪੇ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਨਾ ਦੇ, ਜਦ ਮੇਰਾ ਬਲ ਘਟੇ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਛੱਡ!
10 My enemies say [that they want to kill] me; they plan together [how they can do that].
੧੦ਮੇਰੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਦੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਆਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਤਾ ਪਕਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
11 They say [about me], “God has abandoned him; so now we can pursue him and seize him, because there is no one who will rescue him.”
੧੧ਓਹ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਦਾ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਫੜ ਲਵੋ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸਦਾ ਛੁਡਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
12 God, do not stay far away from me; hurry to help me!
੧੨ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਮੈਥੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਨਾ ਰਹਿ, ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਮੇਰੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਛੇਤੀ ਕਰ!
13 Cause those who (accuse me/say that I have done things that are wrong) to be defeated and destroyed; cause those who want to harm me to be shamed and disgraced.
੧੩ਜੋ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਹਨ ਓਹ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ, ਜੋ ਮੇਰਾ ਬੁਰਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਓਹ ਉਲਾਹਮੇ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਰਾਦਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਰ ਜਾਣ!
14 But [as for me], I will continually and confidently expect [you to do great things for me], and I will praise you more and more.
੧੪ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਸ ਰੱਖਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਤੇ ਉਸਤਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੀ ਜਾਂਵਾਂਗਾ।
15 I will tell people that you do what is right; all day long I will tell people how you have saved me, although what you have done is more than I can fully understand.
੧੫ਮੇਰਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਜੀਵਨ ਭਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਧਰਮ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਦਾ ਵਰਣਨ ਕਰੇਗਾ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਲੇਖਾ ਵੀ ਮੈਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣ ਸਕਦਾ।
16 Yahweh, my Lord, I will praise you for your mighty deeds; I will proclaim that only you always act justly.
੧੬ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਬਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲਾਂਗਾ, ਮੈਂ ਕੇਵਲ ਤੇਰੇ ਹੀ ਧਰਮ ਦਾ ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।
17 God, you have taught me [many/those things] ever since I was young, and I still tell people about your wonderful deeds.
੧੭ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਜਵਾਨੀ ਤੋਂ ਸਿਖਾਇਆ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਅਨੋਖੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ।
18 And now, God, when I am old and my hair is gray, do not abandon me. [Stay with me] while I continue to proclaim to my children and grandchildren [HYP] that you are [very] powerful!
੧੮ਸੋ ਬੁਢੇਪੇ ਤੇ ਧੌਲਿਆਂ ਤੱਕ ਵੀ, ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਤਿਆਗ, ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਮੈਂ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰਾ ਬਲ, ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਨਾ ਦੱਸਾਂ।
19 God, you do many righteous deeds; [it is as though] they extend up to the sky. You have done great things; there is no one like you [RHQ].
੧੯ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਧਰਮ, ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਅੱਤ ਉੱਚਾ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਵੱਡੇ-ਵੱਡੇ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ! ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੇਰੇ ਤੁੱਲ ਕੌਣ ਹੈ?
20 You have caused me to have many troubles and to suffer much, [but] you will cause me to become strong again; when I am almost dead [HYP], you will keep me alive.
੨੦ਤੂੰ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਅਤੇ ਬੁਰੀਆਂ ਬਿਪਤਾਵਾਂ ਵਿਖਾਈਆਂ ਹਨ, ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਜਿਵਾਏਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਡੁੰਘਿਆਈਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਫੇਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਠਾਵੇਂਗਾ।
21 You will cause me to be greatly honored and you will encourage/comfort me again.
੨੧ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਆਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾ, ਅਤੇ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦਿਲਾਸਾ ਦੇ।
22 I will also praise you [while I play] my harp; I will praise you, my God, for faithfully [doing what you have promised to do]. I will play hymns to praise you, the holy God whom [we] Israelis [worship].
੨੨ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਮੈਂ ਵੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਚਿਆਈ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ, ਸਿਤਾਰ ਵਜਾ ਕੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪੁਰਖ, ਮੈਂ ਬਰਬਤ ਵਜਾ ਕੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਜਸ ਗਾਵਾਂਗਾ।
23 I [SYN] will shout joyfully while I play [the harp] for you; with my entire inner being I will sing because you have rescued me.
੨੩ਮੇਰੇ ਬੁੱਲ੍ਹ ਜੈਕਾਰਾ ਗਜਾਉਣਗੇ ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਜਸ ਗਾਵਾਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਵੀ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਛੁਟਕਾਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
24 All day long I will tell people that you act righteously, because those who wanted to harm me will have been defeated and disgraced.
੨੪ਮੇਰੀ ਜੀਭ ਵੀ ਸਾਰਾ ਦਿਨ ਤੇਰੇ ਧਰਮ ਦੀ ਚਰਚਾ ਕਰੇਗੀ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਬੁਰਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਓਹ ਲੱਜਿਆਵਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
