< Psalms 63 >

1 God, you are the God whom I [worship]. I greatly desire to be with you like [SIL] a person in a dry hot desert greatly desires [some cool water].
Zaburi mar Daudi kane en e thim mar Juda. Yaye Nyasaye, in e Nyasacha, adwari gi tekra duto; chunya riyo oloyo mar neni kendo denda duto dwari, e piny motwo kendo maliet, maonge pi modho.
2 So, I want to see you in your temple; I want to see that you are great and glorious.
Aseneni ei kari maler kendo asengʼeyo tekoni gi duongʼni.
3 Your constantly loving [me] is (worth more/more precious) than [my] life, so I [MTY] will [always] praise you.
Nikech herani ber moloyo ngima, dhoga biro miyi duongʼ.
4 I will praise you all the time that I live; I will lift up my hands to you while I pray.
Abiro paki kapod angima, kendo abiro tingʼo bedena malo e nyingi.
5 [Knowing you satisfies me more than] [IDM, MET] my eating a very big feast, [so] I will praise you while I sing [MTY] joyful songs.
Chunya biro romo mana ka ngʼama oromo gi chiemo mabeyo mogik; abiro yawo dwonda ka apaki gi wer.
6 While I lie on my bed, I think about you. I think/meditate about you all during the night,
Ka an e kitandana to apari; pacha osiko pari seche duto mag otieno.
7 because you have always helped me, and I sing joyfully knowing that I am protected by you [as a little bird is protected] under [its mother’s] wings [MET].
Nikech in e konyruokna, awer ka an e bwo tipo mar bwombeni.
8 I cling to you; and with your hand/power you protect me.
Chunya omoko kuomi; lweti ma korachwich orita.
9 But those who are trying to kill me will [die and] descend into the place of the dead;
Joma dwaro kawo ngimana ibiro tieki; gibiro dhi piny nyaka ei bur kama tut.
10 they will be killed in battles [MTY] and their [corpses] will be eaten by jackals/wild dogs.
Ibiro chiwgi ne ligangla kendo gibiro doko chiemb ondiegi.
11 But I, the king [of Israel], will rejoice in what God has done; and all those who revere and trust God will praise him, but he will not allow liars to say anything.
To ruoth to biro bedo moil kuom Nyasaye; ji duto masingore e nying Nyasaye biro pake, to dho jo-miriambo ibiro um mi lingʼ.
