Psalms 62
1 God is the only one who can give me peace in my inner being, and he is the one who saves me [from my enemies].
Para o músico chefe. Para Jeduthun. Um Salmo de David. Minha alma repousa somente em Deus. Minha salvação é dele.
2 Only he is like an [overhanging] rock [under which I can be safe] [MET]; he will be [like] a shelter, [with the result that] I will never be defeated [MET].
Só ele é meu rochedo, minha salvação e minha fortaleza. Nunca serei muito abalado.
3 When will you, [my enemies], stop attacking me [RHQ]? I feel that I am [as useless against you as] a wall that is about to fall over or a broken-down fence [MET].
How por muito tempo você vai agredir um homem? Todos vocês o jogariam no chão, como um muro inclinado, como uma cerca que se abana?
4 My enemies plan to remove me from my important position so that people no longer honor me. They delight in telling lies. They bless people by what they say [MTY], but in their inner beings they curse [those people].
Eles pretendem atirá-lo de seu lugar elevado. Eles se deliciam com as mentiras. Eles abençoam com sua boca, mas amaldiçoam interiormente. (Selah)
5 God is the only one who gives me peace in my inner being; he is the one whom I confidently expect [to help me].
Minha alma, espera em silêncio somente por Deus, pois minha expectativa é dele.
6 Only he is [like an overhanging] rock [under which I can be safe] [MET]; he is [like] a shelter, and [as a result] I will never be defeated.
Só ele é meu rochedo e minha salvação, minha fortaleza. Eu não serei abalado.
7 God is the one who saves me and honors me. He is [like an overhanging] strong rock under which I [can] find shelter [MET].
Minha salvação e minha honra estão com Deus. A rocha da minha força, e meu refúgio, está em Deus.
8 [You my] people, always trust in him. Tell him all your troubles, because he is (our refuge/the one who protects us) [MET].
Trust nele em todos os momentos, seu povo. Despeje seu coração diante dele. Deus é um refúgio para nós. (Selah)
9 People who are considered to be unimportant are [as worthless/unreliable as] a breath of air; people who are considered to be important [also] really (amount to nothing/cannot be trusted [to help us)]. If you put them all on a scale, [it would be as if] they weighed less than a puff of air.
Surely Os homens de baixo grau são apenas um sopro, e homens de alto grau são uma mentira. Nos balanços eles irão subir. Eles estão juntos mais leves que um sopro.
10 Do not trust in money gained by extorting it from others; do not try to gain anything by robbing others. If you become very wealthy, do not trust in [IDM] your money.
Don não confia na opressão. Não se torne vaidoso em roubos. Se as riquezas aumentam, não se preocupe com eles.
11 I have heard God say more than once that he is the one who [really] has power,
God já falou uma vez; duas vezes ouvi isso, que o poder pertence a Deus.
12 and that he is the one who faithfully loves [us]. He rewards every one [of us] according to the deeds that we do.
Também a ti, Senhor, pertence a bondade amorosa, para você recompensar cada homem de acordo com seu trabalho.
