Psalms 62

1 God is the only one who can give me peace in my inner being, and he is the one who saves me [from my enemies].

संगीत निर्देशक के लिये. यदूथून धुन पर आधारित. दावीद का एक स्तोत्र. मात्र परमेश्वर में मेरे प्राणों की विश्रान्ति है; वही मेरे उद्धार के कारण हैं.

2 Only he is like an [overhanging] rock [under which I can be safe] [MET]; he will be [like] a shelter, [with the result that] I will never be defeated [MET].

वही मेरे लिए एक स्थिर चट्टान और मेरा उद्धार हैं; वह मेरे सुरक्षा-दुर्ग हैं, अब मेरा विचलित होना संभव नहीं.

3 When will you, [my enemies], stop attacking me [RHQ]? I feel that I am [as useless against you as] a wall that is about to fall over or a broken-down fence [MET].

तुम कब तक उस पुरुष पर प्रहार करते रहोगे, मैं जो झुकी हुई दीवार अथवा गिरते बाड़े समान हूं? क्या तुम मेरी हत्या करोगे?

4 My enemies plan to remove me from my important position so that people no longer honor me. They delight in telling lies. They bless people by what they say [MTY], but in their inner beings they curse [those people].

उन्होंने मुझे मेरी उन्‍नत जगह से उखाड़ डालने का निश्चय कर लिया है. झूठाचार में ही उनका संतोष मगन होता है. अपने मुख से वे आशीर्वचन उच्चारते तो हैं, किंतु मन ही मन वे उसे शाप देते रहते हैं.

5 God is the only one who gives me peace in my inner being; he is the one whom I confidently expect [to help me].

मेरे प्राण, शांत होकर परमेश्वर के उठने की प्रतीक्षा कर; उन्हीं में तुम्हारी एकमात्र आशा मगन है.

6 Only he is [like an overhanging] rock [under which I can be safe] [MET]; he is [like] a shelter, and [as a result] I will never be defeated.

वही मेरे लिए एक स्थिर चट्टान और मेरा उद्धार हैं; वह मेरे सुरक्षा-रच हैं, अब मेरा विचलित होना संभव नहीं.

7 God is the one who saves me and honors me. He is [like an overhanging] strong rock under which I [can] find shelter [MET].

मेरा उद्धार और मेरा सम्मान परमेश्वर पर अवलंबित हैं; मेरे लिए वह सुदृढ़ चट्टान तथा आश्रय-स्थल है.

8 [You my] people, always trust in him. Tell him all your troubles, because he is (our refuge/the one who protects us) [MET].

मेरे लोगो, हर एक परिस्थिति में उन्हीं पर भरोसा रखो; उन्हीं के सम्मुख अपना हृदय उंडेल दो, क्योंकि परमेश्वर ही हमारा आश्रय-स्थल हैं.

9 People who are considered to be unimportant are [as worthless/unreliable as] a breath of air; people who are considered to be important [also] really (amount to nothing/cannot be trusted [to help us)]. If you put them all on a scale, [it would be as if] they weighed less than a puff of air.

साधारण पुरुष श्वास मात्र हैं, विशिष्ट पुरुष मात्र भ्रान्ति. इन्हें तुला पर रखकर तौला जाए तो वे नगण्य उतरेंगे; एक श्वास मात्र.

10 Do not trust in money gained by extorting it from others; do not try to gain anything by robbing others. If you become very wealthy, do not trust in [IDM] your money.

न तो हिंसा-अत्याचार से कुछ उपलब्ध होगा, न लूटमार से प्राप्‍त संपत्ति कोई गर्व का विषय है; जब तुम्हारी समृद्धि में बढ़ती होने लगे, तो संपत्ति से मन न जोड़ लेना.

11 I have heard God say more than once that he is the one who [really] has power,

परमेश्वर ने एक बात प्रकाशित की, मैंने दो बातें ग्रहण की: “परमेश्वर, आप सर्वसामर्थ्यी हैं.

12 and that he is the one who faithfully loves [us]. He rewards every one [of us] according to the deeds that we do.

तथा प्रभु, आपका प्रेम अमोघ”; इसमें संदेह नहीं, “आप हर एक पुरुष को उसके कर्मों के अनुरूप प्रतिफल प्रदान करेंगे.”
