Psalms 62
1 God is the only one who can give me peace in my inner being, and he is the one who saves me [from my enemies].
Přednímu z kantorů Jedutunovi, žalm Davidův. Vždy předce k Bohu má se mlčelivě duše má, od něhoť jest spasení mé.
2 Only he is like an [overhanging] rock [under which I can be safe] [MET]; he will be [like] a shelter, [with the result that] I will never be defeated [MET].
Vždyť předce on jest skála má, mé spasení, vysoký hrad můj, nepohnuť se škodlivě.
3 When will you, [my enemies], stop attacking me [RHQ]? I feel that I am [as useless against you as] a wall that is about to fall over or a broken-down fence [MET].
Až dokud zlé obmýšleti budete proti člověku? Všickni vy zahubeni budete, jako zed navážená a stěna nachýlená jste.
4 My enemies plan to remove me from my important position so that people no longer honor me. They delight in telling lies. They bless people by what they say [MTY], but in their inner beings they curse [those people].
Však nic méně radí se o to, jak by jej odstrčili, aby nebyl vyvýšen; lež oblibují, ústy svými dobrořečí, ale u vnitřnosti své proklínají. (Sélah)
5 God is the only one who gives me peace in my inner being; he is the one whom I confidently expect [to help me].
Vždy předce měj se k Bohu mlčelivě, duše má, nebo od něho jest očekávání mé.
6 Only he is [like an overhanging] rock [under which I can be safe] [MET]; he is [like] a shelter, and [as a result] I will never be defeated.
Onť jest zajisté skála má, mé spasení, vysoký hrad můj, nepohnuť se.
7 God is the one who saves me and honors me. He is [like an overhanging] strong rock under which I [can] find shelter [MET].
V Bohu jest spasení mé a sláva má; skála síly mé, doufání mé v Bohu jest.
8 [You my] people, always trust in him. Tell him all your troubles, because he is (our refuge/the one who protects us) [MET].
Naději v něm skládejte všelikého času, ó lidé, vylévejte před oblíčejem jeho srdce vaše, Bůh útočiště naše. (Sélah)
9 People who are considered to be unimportant are [as worthless/unreliable as] a breath of air; people who are considered to be important [also] really (amount to nothing/cannot be trusted [to help us)]. If you put them all on a scale, [it would be as if] they weighed less than a puff of air.
Jistě žeť jsou marnost synové lidští, a synové mocných lživí. Budou-li spolu na váhu vloženi, lehčejší budou nežli marnost.
10 Do not trust in money gained by extorting it from others; do not try to gain anything by robbing others. If you become very wealthy, do not trust in [IDM] your money.
Nedoufejtež v utiskování, ani v loupeži, a nebývejte marní; statku přibývalo-li by, nepřikládejte srdce.
11 I have heard God say more than once that he is the one who [really] has power,
Jednou mluvil Bůh, dvakrát jsem to slyšel, že Boží jest moc,
12 and that he is the one who faithfully loves [us]. He rewards every one [of us] according to the deeds that we do.
A že tvé, Pane, jest milosrdenství, a že ty odplatíš jednomu každému podlé skutků jeho.
