< Psalms 62 >
1 God is the only one who can give me peace in my inner being, and he is the one who saves me [from my enemies].
Jeduthun aka mawt ham David kah Tingtoenglung Pathen dong bueng ah ka hinglu loh duemnah a khueh tih kai kah khangnah khaw amah taeng lamkah ni.
2 Only he is like an [overhanging] rock [under which I can be safe] [MET]; he will be [like] a shelter, [with the result that] I will never be defeated [MET].
Amah te ka lungpang neh kai ham khangnah, ka imsang la om pai tih, ka thuen tlaih mahpawh.
3 When will you, [my enemies], stop attacking me [RHQ]? I feel that I am [as useless against you as] a wall that is about to fall over or a broken-down fence [MET].
Hlang te me hil nim na phom uh ve? Nangmih boeih loh aka ngooi pangbueng neh aka bung vongtung bangla na sah uh aya?
4 My enemies plan to remove me from my important position so that people no longer honor me. They delight in telling lies. They bless people by what they say [MTY], but in their inner beings they curse [those people].
Anih te hmuensang lamloh heh ham rhep caai uh tih laithae a ngaingaih uh. A ka neh uem uh cakhaw a kotak ah a tap uh. (Selah)
5 God is the only one who gives me peace in my inner being; he is the one whom I confidently expect [to help me].
6 Only he is [like an overhanging] rock [under which I can be safe] [MET]; he is [like] a shelter, and [as a result] I will never be defeated.
7 God is the one who saves me and honors me. He is [like an overhanging] strong rock under which I [can] find shelter [MET].
8 [You my] people, always trust in him. Tell him all your troubles, because he is (our refuge/the one who protects us) [MET].
Pilnam loh a tue boeih khuiah BOEIPA dongah hangdang uh. Pathen he mamih ham hlipyingnah ni. (Selah)
9 People who are considered to be unimportant are [as worthless/unreliable as] a breath of air; people who are considered to be important [also] really (amount to nothing/cannot be trusted [to help us)]. If you put them all on a scale, [it would be as if] they weighed less than a puff of air.
Tedae hlang capa rhoek he a honghi ni. Tongpa capa rhoek khaw laithae ni. Cooi dongah a honghi boeih lakah amih te yanghoep la a phoh.
10 Do not trust in money gained by extorting it from others; do not try to gain anything by robbing others. If you become very wealthy, do not trust in [IDM] your money.
Hnaemtaeknah dongah pangtung boel lamtah huencannah nen khaw hoemdawk boeh. A khuehtawn loh thaihsu cakhaw lungbuei pael boeh.
11 I have heard God say more than once that he is the one who [really] has power,
Pathen loh vai a thui te Pathen taengkah sarhi ni tila voeihnih ka yaak.
12 and that he is the one who faithfully loves [us]. He rewards every one [of us] according to the deeds that we do.
