Psalms 61

1 God, listen to me, and answer my prayer [DOU]!

१प्रधान बजानेवाले के लिये तारवाले बाजे के साथ दाऊद का भजन हे परमेश्वर, मेरा चिल्लाना सुन, मेरी प्रार्थना की ओर ध्यान दे।

2 While I am discouraged and far from my home, I am calling out to you. Lead me to [the place that is like] a high rock [MET] on top of which I will be safe.

२मूर्छा खाते समय मैं पृथ्वी की छोर से भी तुझे पुकारूँगा, जो चट्टान मेरे लिये ऊँची है, उस पर मुझ को ले चल;

3 You have been my refuge; you have been [like] a strong tower [MET] [in which I am safe] from being attacked by my enemies.

३क्योंकि तू मेरा शरणस्थान है, और शत्रु से बचने के लिये ऊँचा गढ़ है।

4 Allow me to live close to your temple all during my life [HYP]! Allow me to be safe [MET], [like a little bird is safe] under [its mother’s] wings.

४मैं तेरे तम्बू में युगानुयुग बना रहूँगा। मैं तेरे पंखों की ओट में शरण लिए रहूँगा। (सेला)

5 God, you heard me when I solemnly promised [to give offerings to you]; you have given to me the blessings that belong to those who have an awesome respect for you [MTY].

५क्योंकि हे परमेश्वर, तूने मेरी मन्नतें सुनीं, जो तेरे नाम के डरवैये हैं, उनका सा भाग तूने मुझे दिया है।

6 [I am] the king [of Israel]; [please] allow me to live [and rule] for many years, and allow my descendants to rule [also].

६तू राजा की आयु को बहुत बढ़ाएगा; उसके वर्ष पीढ़ी-पीढ़ी के बराबर होंगे।

7 Allow us to rule forever while you observe us; watch over us while you faithfully love us and do for us what you promised.

७वह परमेश्वर के सम्मुख सदा बना रहेगा; तू अपनी करुणा और सच्चाई को उसकी रक्षा के लिये ठहरा रख।

8 If you do that, I will always sing to praise you [MTY] while I offer to you each day the sacrifices that I promised to give to you.

८इस प्रकार मैं सर्वदा तेरे नाम का भजन गा गाकर अपनी मन्नतें हर दिन पूरी किया करूँगा।
