Psalms 61

1 God, listen to me, and answer my prayer [DOU]!

संगीत निर्देशक के लिये. तार वाद्यों की संगत के साथ. दावीद की रचना परमेश्वर, मेरे चिल्लाने को सुनिए; मेरी प्रार्थना पर ध्यान दीजिए.

2 While I am discouraged and far from my home, I am calling out to you. Lead me to [the place that is like] a high rock [MET] on top of which I will be safe.

मैं पृथ्वी की छोर से आपको पुकार रहा हूं, आपको पुकारते-पुकारते मेरा हृदय डूबा जा रहा है; मुझे उस उच्च, अगम्य चट्टान पर खड़ा कीजिए जिसमें मेरी सुरक्षा है.

3 You have been my refuge; you have been [like] a strong tower [MET] [in which I am safe] from being attacked by my enemies.

शत्रुओं के विरुद्ध मेरे लिए आप एक सुदृढ़ स्तंभ, एक आश्रय-स्थल रहे हैं.

4 Allow me to live close to your temple all during my life [HYP]! Allow me to be safe [MET], [like a little bird is safe] under [its mother’s] wings.

मेरी लालसा है कि मैं आपके आश्रय में चिरकाल निवास करूं और आपके पंखों की छाया में मेरी सुरक्षा रहे.

5 God, you heard me when I solemnly promised [to give offerings to you]; you have given to me the blessings that belong to those who have an awesome respect for you [MTY].

परमेश्वर, आपने मेरी मन्‍नतें सुनी हैं; आपने मुझे वह सब प्रदान किया है, जो आपके श्रद्धालुओं का निज भाग होता है.

6 [I am] the king [of Israel]; [please] allow me to live [and rule] for many years, and allow my descendants to rule [also].

आप राजा को आयुष्मान करेंगे, उनकी आयु के वर्ष अनेक पीढ़ियों के तुल्य हो जाएंगे.

7 Allow us to rule forever while you observe us; watch over us while you faithfully love us and do for us what you promised.

परमेश्वर की उपस्थिति में वह सदा-सर्वदा सिंहासन पर विराजमान रहेंगे; उनकी सुरक्षा के निमित्त आप अपने करुणा-प्रेम एवं सत्य को प्रगट करें.

8 If you do that, I will always sing to praise you [MTY] while I offer to you each day the sacrifices that I promised to give to you.

तब मैं आपकी महिमा का गुणगान करूंगा और दिन-प्रतिदिन अपनी मन्‍नतें पूरी करता रहूंगा.
