Psalms 61

1 God, listen to me, and answer my prayer [DOU]!

૧મુખ્ય ગવૈયાને માટે; તારવાળાં વાજાં સાથે ગાવા માટે. દાઉદનું (ગીત). હે ઈશ્વર, મારો પોકાર સાંભળો; મારી પ્રાર્થના પર ધ્યાન આપો.

2 While I am discouraged and far from my home, I am calling out to you. Lead me to [the place that is like] a high rock [MET] on top of which I will be safe.

૨જ્યારે મારું હૃદય વ્યાકુળ થશે, ત્યારે પૃથ્વીને છેડેથી હું તમને અરજ કરીશ; જે ખડક પર હું મારી જાતે ચઢી શકતો નથી તે પર તમે મને લઈ જજો.

3 You have been my refuge; you have been [like] a strong tower [MET] [in which I am safe] from being attacked by my enemies.

૩કેમ કે તમે મારા આશ્રય છો, મારા શત્રુઓ સામે મારો મજબૂત બુરજ છો.

4 Allow me to live close to your temple all during my life [HYP]! Allow me to be safe [MET], [like a little bird is safe] under [its mother’s] wings.

૪હું સદાકાળ તમારા મંડપમાં રહીશ; તમારી પાંખોના આશ્રયે હું રહીશ. (સેલાહ)

5 God, you heard me when I solemnly promised [to give offerings to you]; you have given to me the blessings that belong to those who have an awesome respect for you [MTY].

૫કેમ કે, હે ઈશ્વર, મારી પ્રતિજ્ઞાઓ તમે સાંભળી છે; જેઓ તમારા નામનો આદર કરે છે તેઓને તમે વારસો આપ્યો છે.

6 [I am] the king [of Israel]; [please] allow me to live [and rule] for many years, and allow my descendants to rule [also].

૬તમે રાજાનું આયુષ્ય વધારશો; તેઓનાં વર્ષો ઘણી પેઢીઓ જેટલાં થશે.

7 Allow us to rule forever while you observe us; watch over us while you faithfully love us and do for us what you promised.

૭તે ઈશ્વરની સંમુખ સર્વદા રહેશે; તેઓનું રક્ષણ કરવાને તમારી કૃપા અને સત્યને તૈયાર રાખજો.

8 If you do that, I will always sing to praise you [MTY] while I offer to you each day the sacrifices that I promised to give to you.

૮હું નિરંતર તમારા નામની સ્તુતિ ગાઈશ કે જેથી હું દરરોજ મારી પ્રતિજ્ઞા પૂરી કરું.
