Psalms 56
1 God, be merciful to me because men have harassed me; all day my enemies pursue me.
സംഗീതസംവിധായകന്. “ദൂരസ്ഥന്മാരുടെ ഇടയിൽ, മിണ്ടാത്ത പ്രാവ് എന്ന രാഗത്തിൽ.” ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സ്വർണഗീതം. ഫെലിസ്ത്യർ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ഗത്തിൽവെച്ചു പിടിച്ചപ്പോൾ രചിച്ചത്. ദൈവമേ, എന്നോടു കരുണയുണ്ടാകണമേ, എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കൾ ക്രോധത്തോടെ എന്നെ വേട്ടയാടുന്നു; ദിവസംമുഴുവനും അവരെന്നെ ആക്രമിക്കുന്നു.
2 My enemies harass me all day long; there are many of them who proudly attack me.
എന്റെ എതിരാളികൾ ഒരു ഒഴിയാബാധയായി എന്നെ പിൻതുടരുന്നു; അവരുടെ അഹന്തയിൽ പലരും എന്നെ ആക്രമിക്കുന്നു.
3 But whenever I am afraid, I trust in you.
എനിക്കു ഭയം നേരിടുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ അങ്ങയിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നു.
4 God, I praise/thank you because you do what you have promised; I trust in you, and then I am not afraid. Ordinary humans certainly cannot [RHQ] harm me!
ദൈവത്തിൽ, അവിടത്തെ വാഗ്ദാനത്തിൽ ഞാൻ പുകഴുന്നു— ദൈവത്തിൽ ഞാൻ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നു, ഞാൻ നിർഭയനായിരിക്കും. വെറും മനുഷ്യന് എന്നോട് എന്തുചെയ്യാൻ കഴിയും?
5 All day long my enemies claim that I said things that I did not say (OR, try to destroy what I am doing); they are always thinking of ways to harm me.
അവരെപ്പോഴും എന്റെ വാക്കുകൾ വളച്ചൊടിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ പദ്ധതികളെല്ലാം എന്നെ ദ്രോഹിക്കുന്നതിനുവേണ്ടിയുള്ളവയാണ്.
6 In order to cause trouble for me, they hide and watch everything that I do, waiting for [an opportunity] to kill me [MTY].
അവർ ഉപജാപംനടത്തുന്നു, അവർ പതിയിരിക്കുന്നു, എന്റെ നീക്കങ്ങളവർ നിരീക്ഷിക്കുന്നു, എന്നെ വധിക്കുന്നതിന് വ്യഗ്രതയുള്ളവരായിരിക്കുന്നു.
7 So, God, punish them for the wicked things that they are doing; show that you are angry by defeating those people!
ദൈവമേ, അവിടത്തെ ക്രോധത്താൽ, രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങളെ തകർത്തുകളയണമേ; അവരുടെ ദുഷ്‌പ്രവൃത്തികൾനിമിത്തം അവരെ രക്ഷപ്പെടാൻ അനുവദിക്കരുതേ.
8 You have counted [all] the times that I have been wandering alone/distressed; [it is as though] you have put [all] my tears in a bottle [in order that you can see how much I have cried]. [You have counted my tears and written] the number in your book.
എന്റെ ദുരിതങ്ങളുടെ കണക്കു സൂക്ഷിക്കണമേ; എന്റെ കണ്ണീർക്കണങ്ങൾ അങ്ങയുടെ തുരുത്തിയിൽ സൂക്ഷിക്കണമേ— അവ അങ്ങയുടെ ചുരുളിൽ രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ടല്ലോ?
9 When I call out to you, [my] God, my enemies will be defeated; I know that will happen, because you are fighting for me.
ഞാൻ സഹായത്തിനായി അപേക്ഷിക്കുമ്പോൾ എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കൾ പിന്തിരിയും. ദൈവം എന്റെ പക്ഷത്താണ് എന്ന് ഇങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ അറിയും.
10 I praise/thank you that you do what you have promised; Yahweh, I [will always] praise you for that [DOU].
ദൈവത്തിൽ, അവിടത്തെ വാഗ്ദാനത്തിൽ ഞാൻ പുകഴുന്നു അതേ, യഹോവയിൽ, അവിടത്തെ വാഗ്ദാനത്തിൽ ഞാൻ പുകഴുന്നു—
11 I trust in you, and as a result, I will not be afraid. I know that humans cannot really [RHQ] harm me!
ദൈവത്തിൽ ഞാൻ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നു, ഞാൻ നിർഭയനായിരിക്കും. മനുഷ്യന് എന്നോട് എന്തുചെയ്യാൻ കഴിയും?
12 I will bring to you the offering that I promised; I will bring an offering to you to thank you,
എന്റെ ദൈവമേ, അങ്ങയോടുള്ള ശപഥം നിറവേറ്റാൻ ഞാൻ കടപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ സ്തോത്രയാഗങ്ങൾ ഞാൻ അങ്ങേക്ക് അർപ്പിക്കും.
13 because you have rescued me from being killed; you have kept me from stumbling. As a result, I will continue to live in your presence in the light that [shines on those who are still] alive (OR, in the light that [enables people to] live).
കാരണം ഞാൻ ദൈവമുമ്പാകെ ജീവന്റെ വെളിച്ചത്തിൽ നടക്കേണ്ടതിന്, അവിടന്ന് എന്നെ മരണത്തിൽനിന്നും എന്റെ കാലുകളെ വീഴ്ചയിൽനിന്നും രക്ഷിച്ചല്ലോ.
