Psalms 54

1 God, by your power [MTY, DOU] save me [from my enemies], and show people that I have not done anything that is wrong!

Para el músico jefe. En los instrumentos de cuerda. Una contemplación de David, cuando los zifitas vinieron y le dijeron a Saúl: “¿No se esconde David entre nosotros?” Sálvame, Dios, por tu nombre. Reivindícame con tu poder.

2 God, listen to my prayer; listen to what I say to you,

Escucha mi oración, Dios. Escucha las palabras de mi boca.

3 because strangers are [trying to] attack me; proud men are wanting to kill me; men who do not have any (respect for/interest in) you.

Porque los extraños se han levantado contra mí. Hombres violentos han buscado mi alma. No han puesto a Dios delante de ellos. (Selah)

4 But God is the one who helps me; Yahweh defends/protects me [from my enemies].

He aquí que Dios es mi ayudante. El Señor es quien sostiene mi alma.

5 He will cause the evil things that they want to do to me to happen to them instead; because he faithfully [does what he promises], he will get rid of them.

Él pagará el mal a mis enemigos. Destrúyelos con tu verdad.

6 Yahweh, I will gladly give an offering to you because I want to, and I will thank you [MTY], for you are good [to me];

Con una ofrenda voluntaria, te sacrificaré. Daré gracias a tu nombre, Yahvé, porque es bueno.

7 you have rescued me from all my troubles, and I have seen that you have defeated my enemies.

Porque me ha librado de toda angustia. Mi ojo ha visto el triunfo sobre mis enemigos.
