< Psalms 47 >

1 You people all [over the world], clap your hands for joy! Shout joyfully to [praise] God!
Ki he Takimuʻa, ko e Saame ki he ngaahi foha ʻo Kola. Mou pasipasi homou nima, ʻae kakai kotoa pē; kalanga ki he ʻOtua ʻi he leʻo ʻoe fiefia.
2 Yahweh, who is much greater than any other god, is awesome; he is the king who rules over all the world!
He ko Sihova fungani māʻolunga ʻoku fakailifia ia; ko e Tuʻi lahi ia ki māmani kotoa pē.
3 He enabled us to defeat [the armies of] the people-groups [that lived in Canaan].
Te ne fakavaivai ʻae kakai kiate kitautolu, mo e ngaahi puleʻanga ki hotau lalo vaʻe.
4 He chose for us this land where we now live; we Israeli people [MTY], whom he loves, are proud that we own this land.
Te ne fili hotau tofiʻa maʻatautolu, ko e lelei ʻo Sēkope ʻaia ʻoku ne ʻofa ki ai. (Sila)
5 God has gone up [into his temple]. The people shouted joyfully and blew trumpets as Yahweh went up.
Kuo hāʻele hake ʻae ʻOtua ʻi he mavava, ko Sihova mo e leʻo ʻoe meʻa lea.
6 Sing songs to praise our God! Sing to praise him [DOU]! Sing to God, our king!
Hiva fakamālō ki he ʻOtua, hiva fakamālō: hiva fakamālō ki hotau Tuʻi, hiva fakamālō.
7 God is the one who rules over everything in the world; sing a psalm to him!
He ko e ʻOtua ko e Tuʻi ia ʻo māmani kotoa pē: mou hiva fakamālō ʻi he poto.
8 God sits on his sacred throne as he rules over the people of [all] ethnic groups.
‌ʻOku pule ʻae ʻOtua ki he hiteni: ʻoku ʻafio ʻae ʻOtua ʻi he ʻafioʻanga ʻo ʻene māʻoniʻoni.
9 The rulers of those people-groups gather as God’s people, the people [descended] from Abraham, [do]. But God has more power than the weapons/shields [of all the kings] on the earth; (he is greatly honored/people honor him) everywhere.
Kuo kātoa fakataha ʻae houʻeiki ʻoe kakai, ʻio, ko e kakai ʻae ʻOtua ʻo ʻEpalahame: ʻoku ʻi he ʻOtua ʻae ngaahi fakaū ʻo māmani: ʻoku māʻolunga lahi ʻaupito ia.
