Psalms 47

1 You people all [over the world], clap your hands for joy! Shout joyfully to [praise] God!

Przewodnikowi chóru. Psalm dla synów Korego. Klaszczcie w dłonie, wszystkie narody, wykrzykujcie Bogu radosnym głosem.

2 Yahweh, who is much greater than any other god, is awesome; he is the king who rules over all the world!

Gdyż PAN Najwyższy budzi grozę, [jest] wielkim Królem nad całą ziemią.

3 He enabled us to defeat [the armies of] the people-groups [that lived in Canaan].

Podda nam ludzi i narody pod nasze stopy.

4 He chose for us this land where we now live; we Israeli people [MTY], whom he loves, are proud that we own this land.

Wybrał nam nasze dziedzictwo, chlubę Jakuba, którego umiłował. (Sela)

5 God has gone up [into his temple]. The people shouted joyfully and blew trumpets as Yahweh went up.

Wstąpił Bóg wśród okrzyków, PAN przy dźwięku trąby.

6 Sing songs to praise our God! Sing to praise him [DOU]! Sing to God, our king!

Śpiewajcie Bogu, śpiewajcie; śpiewajcie naszemu Królowi, śpiewajcie.

7 God is the one who rules over everything in the world; sing a psalm to him!

Bóg bowiem [jest] Królem całej ziemi, śpiewajcie pieśni pouczające.

8 God sits on his sacred throne as he rules over the people of [all] ethnic groups.

Bóg króluje nad narodami, Bóg zasiada na swym świętym tronie.

9 The rulers of those people-groups gather as God’s people, the people [descended] from Abraham, [do]. But God has more power than the weapons/shields [of all the kings] on the earth; (he is greatly honored/people honor him) everywhere.

Władcy narodów zebrali się z ludem Boga Abrahama, bo do Boga [należą] tarcze ziemi; on jest wielce wywyższony.
