Psalms 47

1 You people all [over the world], clap your hands for joy! Shout joyfully to [praise] God!

برای رهبر سرایندگان. مزمور پسران قورَح. ای همهٔ مردم جهان، دست بزنید و شادی کنید! خدا را با سرودهای شاد پرستش کنید!

2 Yahweh, who is much greater than any other god, is awesome; he is the king who rules over all the world!

زیرا خداوند متعال، مهیب است. او پادشاهی است با عظمت که بر سراسر جهان فرمان می‌راند.

3 He enabled us to defeat [the armies of] the people-groups [that lived in Canaan].

او قومها را مغلوب ما ساخت، طایفه‌ها را به زیر پای ما انداخت.

4 He chose for us this land where we now live; we Israeli people [MTY], whom he loves, are proud that we own this land.

او سرزمین موعود را برای ما برگزید، سرزمینی که موجب افتخار نسل یعقوب، محبوب اوست.

5 God has gone up [into his temple]. The people shouted joyfully and blew trumpets as Yahweh went up.

خداوند در میان غریو شادی و صدای شیپور، به تخت خود صعود نموده است!

6 Sing songs to praise our God! Sing to praise him [DOU]! Sing to God, our king!

در ستایش او سرود بخوانید! پادشاه ما را با سرود پرستش کنید!

7 God is the one who rules over everything in the world; sing a psalm to him!

خدا پادشاه تمام جهان است؛ او را با سرود ستایش کنید!

8 God sits on his sacred throne as he rules over the people of [all] ethnic groups.

خدا بر قومهای جهان فرمان می‌راند. او بر تخت مقدّس خود نشسته است.

9 The rulers of those people-groups gather as God’s people, the people [descended] from Abraham, [do]. But God has more power than the weapons/shields [of all the kings] on the earth; (he is greatly honored/people honor him) everywhere.

رؤسای ممالک جهان با ما متحد شده‌اند تا با ما خدای ابراهیم را پرستش کنند، زیرا او قدرتمندتر از تمام جنگاوران و برتر از همه مردم جهان می‌باشد.
