< Psalms 47 >

1 You people all [over the world], clap your hands for joy! Shout joyfully to [praise] God!
Ho an’ ny mpiventy hira. Nataon’ ny Koraïta. Salamo. Mitehafa tanana, ry firenena rehetra; mihobia ho an’ Andriamanitra.
2 Yahweh, who is much greater than any other god, is awesome; he is the king who rules over all the world!
Fa Jehovah no avo indrindra ka tokony hatahorana; Mpanjaka lehibe ambonin’ ny tany rehetra Izy.
3 He enabled us to defeat [the armies of] the people-groups [that lived in Canaan].
Mandresy firenena maro Izy ho ambanintsika, ary firenen-tsamy hafa ho ambanin’ ny tongotsika.
4 He chose for us this land where we now live; we Israeli people [MTY], whom he loves, are proud that we own this land.
Mifidy ny lovantsika ho antsika Izy, dia ny voninahitr’ i Jakoba izay tiany. (Sela)
5 God has gone up [into his temple]. The people shouted joyfully and blew trumpets as Yahweh went up.
Efa niakatra tamin’ ny fihobiana Andriamanitra, Jehovah niakatra tamin’ ny fitsofana ny anjomara.
6 Sing songs to praise our God! Sing to praise him [DOU]! Sing to God, our king!
Mankalazà an’ Andriamanitra, eny mankalazà; mankalazà ny Mpanjakantsika, eny, mankalazà.
7 God is the one who rules over everything in the world; sing a psalm to him!
Fa Mpanjaka amin’ ny tany rehetra Andriamanitra; mahaiza mankalaza tsara ianareo.
8 God sits on his sacred throne as he rules over the people of [all] ethnic groups.
Andriamanitra manjaka amin’ ny firenen-tsamy hafa; Andriamanitra mipetraka eo ambonin’ ny seza fiandrianany masìna.
9 The rulers of those people-groups gather as God’s people, the people [descended] from Abraham, [do]. But God has more power than the weapons/shields [of all the kings] on the earth; (he is greatly honored/people honor him) everywhere.
Ny mpanapaka ny firenen-tsamy hafa miangona ho olon’ Andriamanitr’ i Abrahama; fa an’ Andriamanitra ny ampingan’ ny tany; Avo indrindra Izy.
