< Psalms 47 >

1 You people all [over the world], clap your hands for joy! Shout joyfully to [praise] God!
E PAIPAI i ko oukou mau lima, e na lahuikanaka a pau; E hooho i ke Akua me ka leo olioli.
2 Yahweh, who is much greater than any other god, is awesome; he is the king who rules over all the world!
No ka mea, he mea e weliweli ai o Iehova ka mea kiekie loa: He Alii nui ia maluna o ka honua a pau.
3 He enabled us to defeat [the armies of] the people-groups [that lived in Canaan].
E hoohaahaa iho oia i ka poe kanaka malalo iho o kakou, A me na lahuikanaka malalo iho o ko kakou mau kapuwai.
4 He chose for us this land where we now live; we Israeli people [MTY], whom he loves, are proud that we own this land.
E koho mai no hoi oia i hooilina no kakou, I ka nani o Iakoba ana i aloha mai ai. (Sila)
5 God has gone up [into his temple]. The people shouted joyfully and blew trumpets as Yahweh went up.
Ua pii ae nei ke Akua me ka hooho, O Iehova me ke kani ana o ka pu.
6 Sing songs to praise our God! Sing to praise him [DOU]! Sing to God, our king!
E hoolea aku i ke Akua, e hoolea oukou: E hoolea aku i ko kakou Alii, e hoolea oukou.
7 God is the one who rules over everything in the world; sing a psalm to him!
No ka mea, o ke Akua ke Alii o ka honua a pau; E hoolea aku oukou me ka naauao.
8 God sits on his sacred throne as he rules over the people of [all] ethnic groups.
E alii ana no hoi ke Akua maluna o na lahuikanaka; Ke nobo mai la ke Akua maluna o kona nohoalii hoano.
9 The rulers of those people-groups gather as God’s people, the people [descended] from Abraham, [do]. But God has more power than the weapons/shields [of all the kings] on the earth; (he is greatly honored/people honor him) everywhere.
Ua akoakoa na'lii o na kanaka, O na kanaka o ke Akua no Aberahama; No ke Akua na palekaua o ka honua; Ua hapai nui ia'ku no hoi ia.
