< Psalms 47 >
1 You people all [over the world], clap your hands for joy! Shout joyfully to [praise] God!
Pou direktè koral la; Yo Sòm pa fis Koré yo. O bat men nou ansanm, tout pèp yo. Rele fò a Bondye avèk yon vwa plen viktwa.
2 Yahweh, who is much greater than any other god, is awesome; he is the king who rules over all the world!
Paske SENYÈ Pi Wo a merite lakrent. Li se Gran Wa a sou tout latè a.
3 He enabled us to defeat [the armies of] the people-groups [that lived in Canaan].
Li fè soumèt pèp yo anba nou, ak nasyon yo anba pye nou.
4 He chose for us this land where we now live; we Israeli people [MTY], whom he loves, are proud that we own this land.
Pou nou menm, Li chwazi eritaj nou, glwa la a Jacob, ke Li renmen an. Tan
5 God has gone up [into his temple]. The people shouted joyfully and blew trumpets as Yahweh went up.
Bondye te monte avèk yon gwo rèl, SENYÈ a avèk son twonpèt la.
6 Sing songs to praise our God! Sing to praise him [DOU]! Sing to God, our king!
Chante lwanj Bondye a, chante lwanj yo! Chante lwanj Wa nou an, chante lwanj yo!
7 God is the one who rules over everything in the world; sing a psalm to him!
Paske Bondye se Wa a tout tè a. Chante lwanj yo avèk yon chan byen bèl.
8 God sits on his sacred throne as he rules over the people of [all] ethnic groups.
Bondye regne sou nasyon yo. Bondye chita sou twòn wayal Li a.
9 The rulers of those people-groups gather as God’s people, the people [descended] from Abraham, [do]. But God has more power than the weapons/shields [of all the kings] on the earth; (he is greatly honored/people honor him) everywhere.
Prens a pèp yo rasanble yo ansanm, pèp a Bondye Abraham nan. Paske tout boukliye sou latè yo se pou Bondye. Li leve byen wo.
