< Psalms 47 >
1 You people all [over the world], clap your hands for joy! Shout joyfully to [praise] God!
Kwa mtsogoleri wa mayimbidwe. Salimo la ana a Kora. Ombani mʼmanja, inu anthu onse; fuwulani kwa Mulungu ndi mawu achimwemwe.
2 Yahweh, who is much greater than any other god, is awesome; he is the king who rules over all the world!
Ndi woopsadi Yehova Wammwambamwamba; Mfumu yayikulu ya dziko lonse lapansi!
3 He enabled us to defeat [the armies of] the people-groups [that lived in Canaan].
Iye anatigonjetsera mitundu yambirimbiri ya anthu; anayika anthu pansi pa mapazi athu.
4 He chose for us this land where we now live; we Israeli people [MTY], whom he loves, are proud that we own this land.
Iye anatisankhira cholowa chathu, chonyaditsa cha Yakobo, amene anamukonda. (Sela)
5 God has gone up [into his temple]. The people shouted joyfully and blew trumpets as Yahweh went up.
Mulungu wakwera, anthu akumufuwulira mwachimwemwe, Yehova wakwera, akumuyimbira malipenga.
6 Sing songs to praise our God! Sing to praise him [DOU]! Sing to God, our king!
Imbani matamando kwa Mulungu, imbani matamando; imbani matamando kwa mfumu yathu, imbani matamando.
7 God is the one who rules over everything in the world; sing a psalm to him!
Pakuti Mulungu ndi mfumu ya dziko lonse lapansi; imbirani Iye salimo la matamando.
8 God sits on his sacred throne as he rules over the people of [all] ethnic groups.
Mulungu akulamulira mitundu ya anthu; Mulungu wakhala pa mpando wake waufumu woyera.
9 The rulers of those people-groups gather as God’s people, the people [descended] from Abraham, [do]. But God has more power than the weapons/shields [of all the kings] on the earth; (he is greatly honored/people honor him) everywhere.
Anthu otchuka mwa anthu a mitundu ina asonkhana monga anthu a Mulungu wa Abrahamu, pakuti mafumu a dziko lapansi ndi ake a Mulungu; Iye wakwezedwa kwakukulu.
