< Psalms 4 >
1 God, answer me when I pray to you. You are the one who vindicates me; Rescue me from things that distress me. Act mercifully toward me, and listen to me while I pray.
[Psalm lal David] O God, su loangeyu, Topukyu ke nga pre. Ke nga muta in ongoiya, kom kasreyu. Pakomutuk, ac lohng pre luk.
2 How long will you people cause me to be disgraced instead of honoring me [RHQ]? You [people] love to falsely accuse me.
Putaka kowos ac akkolukye inek? Putaka kowos ac lungse ma lusrongten Ac suk ma kikiap?
3 All those who are loyal to Yahweh, he has chosen them to belong to him. Yahweh listens to me when I pray to him.
Esam lah LEUM GOD El sulela mwet suwoswos tuh elos in ma lal, Ac El lohngyu ke nga pang nu sel.
4 When you people get angry, do not [allow your anger to control you and cause you to] sin. While you lie on your bed, silently examine what you are thinking.
Kowos in rarrar ke sangeng, ac tia sifil oru ma koluk; Nunku akloalya ke ma se inge Ke kowos oan in misla fin mwe oan kiowos.
5 Also, offer to Yahweh the proper sacrifices, and continue trusting in him.
Kisakin mwe kisa fal nu sin LEUM GOD, Ac filiya lulalfongi lowos in El.
6 Some people ask, “Who will allow good things to happen to us?” [But I say], “Yahweh, continue to act kindly toward us.
Oasr mwet puspis su pre ac fahk, “O LEUM GOD, saok kom in sifilpa akinsewowoye kut, Ac ngetnget kulang lom in srekuti!”
7 You have made me very happy; I am happier than people who have harvested a great amount of grain and grapes.
Tusruktu, engan su kom ase nu sik Yohk liki na engankinyen mut lalos Ke wheat ac wain.
8 I can lie down [at night] and sleep soundly because [I know that] you, Yahweh, will keep me safe.”
Ke nga ona, nga motulla in misla; Mweyen kom mukena, LEUM GOD, ku in karinginyu wo. s
