Psalms 4
1 God, answer me when I pray to you. You are the one who vindicates me; Rescue me from things that distress me. Act mercifully toward me, and listen to me while I pray.
দাউদের গীত। প্রধান পরিচালকের জন্য। তারের যন্ত্র। হে আমার ধার্মিক ঈশ্বর, আমি ডাকলে আমাকে উত্তর দিয়ো। সংকটে আমায় অব্যাহতি দিয়ো; আমার প্রতি দয়া করো ও আমার প্রার্থনা শোনো।
2 How long will you people cause me to be disgraced instead of honoring me [RHQ]? You [people] love to falsely accuse me.
হে মানুষেরা, কত কাল আমার সম্মান অপমানে পরিণত করবে? আর কত কাল তোমরা অলীকতা ভালোবাসবে ও ভুয়ো দেবতার সন্ধান করবে
3 All those who are loyal to Yahweh, he has chosen them to belong to him. Yahweh listens to me when I pray to him.
জানো যে সদাপ্রভু তাঁর বিশ্বস্ত ভক্তদের নিজের জন্য পৃথক করে রেখেছেন; আমি ডাকলেই সদাপ্রভু আমার কথা শোনেন।
4 When you people get angry, do not [allow your anger to control you and cause you to] sin. While you lie on your bed, silently examine what you are thinking.
কম্পিত হও কিন্তু পাপ কোরো না; যখন নিজের বিছানায় শুয়ে থাকো, নিজের হৃদয় অনুসন্ধান করো ও নীরব থাকো।
5 Also, offer to Yahweh the proper sacrifices, and continue trusting in him.
ধার্মিকতার বলি উৎসর্গ করো এবং সদাপ্রভুতে বিশ্বাস করো।
6 Some people ask, “Who will allow good things to happen to us?” [But I say], “Yahweh, continue to act kindly toward us.
সদাপ্রভু, অনেকে প্রশ্ন করছে, “কে আমাদের উন্নতি ঘটাবে?” তোমার মুখের জ্যোতি আমাদের উপর উজ্জ্বল হোক।
7 You have made me very happy; I am happier than people who have harvested a great amount of grain and grapes.
তাদের ফসল ও নতুন দ্রাক্ষারসের প্রাচুর্য থেকেও তুমি আমার হৃদয় আনন্দে পূর্ণ করেছ।
8 I can lie down [at night] and sleep soundly because [I know that] you, Yahweh, will keep me safe.”
শান্তিতে আমি শুয়ে থাকব ও ঘুমাব, কারণ একমাত্র তুমিই, হে সদাপ্রভু, আমায় নিরাপদে বসবাস করতে দিয়েছ।
