< Psalms 38 >

1 Yahweh, when you are angry [with me], do not rebuke/scold me and punish me!
Nkunga Davidi mu diambu di thebokolo moyo. A Yave, kadi kuthemima ku tsi nganzi aku voti kadi kuphana thumbudulu ku tsi nganzi aku yi kikhesa.
2 [Now it is as though] you have shot your arrows at me and wounded me; you have struck me and knocked me down.
Bila madionga maku mathobudi ayi koko kuaku kumbetidi.
3 Because you have been angry with me, I am suffering great pain. Because of my sin, my whole body is diseased.
Mu diambu di nganzi aku yi kikhesa, buvini buisi ko mu nitu ama. Mimvesi miama misiedi ko buvini mu diambu di masumu mama.
4 All my sins are [like a flood] that covers my head; they are like a load that is very heavy, with the result that I cannot carry it.
Zinzimbala ziama zimfietikisidi ngolo banga mfuna widi zitu kiwombo; madidi ngolo zitu mu diambu diama banga mfuna wu ngolo.
5 Because I have done foolish things, I have sores that have become worse, and they stink.
Ziphuta ziama zilembo bodi ngolo yiwombo ayi zilembo yizi tsudi yiwombo mu diambu di buvulu buama bu masumu.
6 [Sometimes] I am bent over, and [sometimes] I lie prostrate; I am sad/cry all day.
Ndidi wukomvama ngolo ayi khulukidi nate va tsi; Lumbu ki mvimba mu kiadi ndieti diatila.
7 My body is burning with fever, and I am very ill.
Bila ziphasi zingolo zidi mu luketo luama, buvini buisi ko mu nitu ama.
8 I am completely exhausted, and I have no strength. I am very distressed, and I groan with pain.
Ndidi wuvonga ngolo ayi ndidi wukosakana mvimba. Ndilembo kungi mu diambu di ziphasi zi ntima.
9 Yahweh, you know that I desire [to be healed]; you hear me while I am groaning.
Zitsatu ziama zioso zidi dio yambi va ntualꞌaku, a Yave, ayi vumina kuama kuisi ko kusuama kuidi ngeyo.
10 My heat is pounding heavily, and all my strength is gone. I am no longer able to see well.
Ntimꞌama wulembo sadi ngolo ayi zingolo ziama zimeni; kiezila kibotukidi mu meso mama.
11 My friends and neighbors stay away from me because of my sores; even my own family stays away from me.
Bakundi bama ayi bobo bankibanga yama bathinini mu diambu di ziphuta ziama; bobo bafikasana yama thama batelimini.
12 And those who want to kill me set traps to catch me; those who want to harm me discuss ways to get rid of me; they plot against me all day.
Bobo bantomba luzingu luama balembo mintambu miawu bobo bantomba kuphanga mbimbi balembo yolukila mbivusu ama; Mu lumbu kimvimba balembo kubika mambu ma luvunu.
13 Now I act like I’m deaf, and do not listen [to what they say]. I act like I cannot talk, so I say nothing [to reply to them].
Minu, ndieka banga mutu wufua matu, wunkambu wa; banga dibaba dikambu zibula munu andi.
14 I act like a man who does not answer [when people talk to him], because he cannot hear anything.
Ndieka banga mutu wowo wu nkambu wa mutu wowo munu wunkambu baka bu vutudila mvutu.
15 But Yahweh, I trust in you. My Lord God, you will answer me.
Ngeyo ndieti tadidila, a Yave, wela vutula mvutu, a Yave Nzambi ama.
16 I said to you, “Do not cause [me to die, with the result that] my enemies will rejoice! Do not cause me to stumble, with the result that they will be very happy!”
Bila ndituba: “kadi tala ti bamona khini voti bakiyayisa bawu veka mu diambu diama. Kulu kuama bu kusialumukini.”
17 I say that because I am about to fall down, and I constantly have pain.
Bila nduka bua ndieka ayi ziphasi ziama zidi kaka mu minu.
18 I confess the wrong things that I have done; I am [very] sorry for the sins that I have committed.
Ndimfunda mbimbi ama. Ndilembo niongi mu diambu di disumu diama.
19 My enemies are healthy and strong; there are many people who hate me for no reason.
Bawombo badi bambeni ziama; ziozi zibeki zingolo. Bobo bakundendanga mu kambu bila badi bawombo.
20 Those who do evil things to me in return for my doing good things to them oppose me because I try to do what is right.
Bobo bakuphutudilanga mambimbi mu mamboti mama balembo thubidila ku ndambu mu thangu ndinlandakana vanga mamboti.
21 Yahweh, do not abandon me! My God, do not stay far from me!
A Yave, kadi kundiekula; kadi kuthatukila Nzambi ama.
22 Lord, you are the one who saves/rescues me; Quickly [come and] help me!
Yiza nsualu mu kutsadisa, A Yave, Mvulusi ama.
