Psalms 34
1 I will always thank Yahweh; I will constantly praise him [MTY].
Salmo de Davi, quando ele mudou seu comportamento perante Abimeleque, que o expulsou, e ele foi embora: Louvarei ao SENHOR em todo tempo; [haverá] louvor a ele continuamente em minha boca.
2 I will boast about what Yahweh [has done]. All those who are oppressed/discouraged should hear me and rejoice.
Minha alma se orgulhará no SENHOR; os humildes ouvirão, e se alegrarão.
3 Join with me in telling others that Yahweh is great! You and I should together proclaim how glorious he is!
Engrandecei ao SENHOR comigo, e juntos exaltemos o seu nome.
4 I prayed to Yahweh, and he (answered my prayer/did what I asked him to do); he rescued me from [all those who caused me] to be afraid.
Busquei ao SENHOR. Ele me respondeu, e me livrou de todos os meus temores.
5 Those who trust [IDM] that he [will help them] will be joyful; (they will never be disappointed/he will always do for them the things that he promises) [LIT].
Os que olham para ele ficam visivelmente alegres, e seus rostos não são envergonhados.
6 I was miserable/helpless, but I called out to Yahweh, and he heard me. He rescued me from all my troubles.
Este miserável clamou, e o SENHOR ouviu; e ele o salvou de todas as suas angústias.
7 An angel from Yahweh guards those who revere him, and the angel rescues them.
O anjo do SENHOR fica ao redor daqueles que o temem, e os livra.
8 Find out for yourself, and you will experience that Yahweh is good to you! He is very pleased with those who ask him to protect them.
Experimentai, e vede que o SENHOR é bom; bem-aventurado [é] o homem que confia nele.
9 All you who belong to him, revere him! Those who do that will always have the things that they need [LIT].
Temei ao SENHOR vós, os seus santos; porque nada falta para aqueles que o temem.
10 Lions [are usually] very strong, [but sometimes] even young lions are hungry and become weak, but those who trust in Yahweh will (have everything/not lack any good thing) [LIT] [that they need].
Os filhos dos leões passam necessidades e têm fome; mas os que buscam ao SENHOR não têm falta de bem algum.
11 You (who are my students/whom I teach), come and listen to me, and I will teach you how to revere Yahweh.
Vinde, filhos, ouvi a mim; eu vos ensinarei o temor ao SENHOR.
12 If [RHQ] any of you wants to enjoy life and have a good long life,
Quem é o homem que deseja vida, que ama [viver por muitos] dias, para ver o bem?
13 do not say anything that is evil! Do not tell lies!
Guarda a tua língua do mal, e os teus lábios de falar falsidade.
14 Turn away from doing evil, and do what is good! Always try hard to enable people to live peacefully [with each other.]
Desvia-te do mal, e faze o bem; busca a paz, e segue-a.
15 Yahweh [MTY] carefully watches over those who [act] righteously; he always responds [MTY] to them when they call [to him for help].
Os olhos do SENHOR estão sobre os justos, e seus ouvidos [atentos] ao seu clamor.
16 But Yahweh [SYN] (is opposed to/turns away from) those who do what is evil. [And after they die], people will forget them completely.
A face do SENHOR está contra aqueles que fazem o mal, para tirar da terra a memória deles.
17 Yahweh hears righteous people when they call out to him; he rescues them from all their troubles.
Os [justos] clamam, e o SENHOR os ouve. Ele os livra de todas as suas angústias.
18 Yahweh is always ready to help those who are discouraged; he rescues those who have nothing good to hope for.
O SENHOR [está] perto daqueles que estão com o coração partido, e sava os aflitos de espírito.
19 Righteous people may have many troubles, but Yahweh rescues them from all those troubles.
Muitas são as adversidades do justo, mas o SENHOR o livra de todas elas.
20 Yahweh protects them from being harmed; [when their enemies attack them], they will not break any bones of those righteous people.
Ele guarda todos os seus ossos; nenhum deles é quebrado.
21 Wicked people will be killed by their own evil deeds (OR, by [people doing to them] the same evil things [that the wicked do to others]) [PRS], and Yahweh will punish those who oppose righteous people.
O mal matará o perverso, e os que odeiam o justo serão condenados.
22 Yahweh will save those who serve him. He will (not condemn/forgive) [LIT] those who trust in him.
O SENHOR resgata a alma de seus servos, e todos os que nele confiam não receberão condenação.
