Psalms 30
1 Yahweh, I praise you because you rescued me. You did not allow [me to die], [with the result that] my enemies could gloat/rejoice.
Yon Sòm; yon chan nan Dedikasyon Kay La; Yon Sòm David Mwen va leve Ou wo, O SENYÈ, paske Ou te leve mwen. Ou pa t kite lènmi m yo rejwi sou mwen.
2 Yahweh, my God, I called out for you to help [me when I was ill], and you healed me.
O SENYÈ, Bondye mwen an, mwen te kriye a Ou menm, e Ou te geri mwen.
3 You saved/restored me when I was dying [MTY]. I was nearly dead, but you caused me to get well again. (Sheol h7585)
O SENYÈ, Ou te fè nanm mwen monte kite sejou lanmò yo. Ou te kenbe m vivan, pou m pa t desann nan gwo fòs la. (Sheol h7585)
4 All you who belong to Yahweh, sing praise to him! Think about what [God], the holy one, has done, and thank him!
Chante lwanj a SENYÈ a, nou menm ki fidèl Li yo. Bay remèsiman a sen non Li.
5 When he becomes angry, he is angry for only a very short time [HYP], but he is good [to us] all of our life. We may cry during the night, but the next morning we will be joyful.
Paske kòlè Li se sèlman pou yon moman, men Bonte Li se pou tout tan. Kriye a kapab dire pou nwit lan, men kri lajwa a vin parèt nan maten.
6 As for me, when I had no troubles, I said [to myself], “No one will defeat me!”
Alò, pou mwen, mwen te di nan bon tan mwen, “Mwen p ap janm ebranle.”
7 Yahweh, because you were good to me, at first you caused me to be safe [as though I was inside] [MET] a mountain. But then [I became ill, and I thought that] you had turned away from me, and I became afraid.
O SENYÈ, pa gras Ou, Ou te fè mòn mwen an kanpe fèm. Lè Ou te kache figi Ou, mwen te dekouraje nèt.
8 [Then] I called out to you, and I pleaded for you [to help me].
A Ou menm, SENYÈ, mwen te rele. A SENYÈ mwen an, mwen te fè siplikasyon mwen yo:
9 [I said], “Yahweh, (what will you gain if I die?/ you won’t gain anything if I die) [MTY]. (In what way will it benefit you?/it won’t benefit you at all) if I go to the place where the dead people are [RHQ]. Dead people are certainly not able to praise you [RHQ], and they are not able to tell others that you are trustworthy [RHQ]!
“Ki benefis ki genyen nan san mwen si mwen desann nan gwo fòs la? Èske pousyè a kab louwe Ou? Èske li va deklare fidelite Ou?
10 Yahweh, listen to me, and be merciful to me! Yahweh, help me!”
Tande, O SENYÈ e fè m gras. O SENYÈ, ban m soutyen.”
11 But [now you have healed me], and you have caused me to change from being sad to dancing [joyfully]. You have taken away the clothes that showed that I was very sad and you have given me clothes that showed that I was [very] joyful.
Ou te chanje doulè mwen, e sa te fè m vin danse ak lajwa; Ou te demare rad twal sak mwen an, e te mare senti m avèk kè kontan.
12 So I will not be silent; I will sing out [loudly] to praise you. Yahweh, you are my God, and I will thank you forever.
Konsa, pou kè m kab chante lwanj Ou, e pa rete an silans. O SENYÈ, Bondye mwen an, mwen va bay Ou glwa pou tout tan, nèt.
