Psalms 29
1 You angels in heaven, praise Yahweh! Praise him because he is very glorious and powerful.
Salmo di Davide DATE al Signore, o figliuoli de' potenti, Date al Signore gloria e forza.
2 Proclaim that (he/his name) is glorious; bow down before Yahweh in his holy [temple].
Date al Signore la gloria [dovuta] al suo Nome; Adorate il Signore nel magnifico santuario.
3 Yahweh’s voice is heard above the oceans; Yahweh, the glorious God, thunders. His voice thunders over the huge oceans [DOU].
La voce del Signore [è] sopra le acque; L'Iddio di gloria tuona; Il Signore [è] sopra le grandi acque.
4 His voice is powerful and majestic.
La voce del Signore [è] con potenza; La voce del Signore [è] con magnificenza.
5 The sound of Yahweh’s voice breaks great cedar trees, the cedars that grow in Lebanon.
La voce del Signore rompe i cedri; E il Signore spezza i cedri del Libano;
6 He causes [the mountains in] Lebanon to jump like calves jump, and causes Hermon [Mountain] to jump like a young bull jumps.
E li fa saltellar come un vitello; Il Libano stesso, e Sirion, come il figlio d'un liocorno.
7 Yahweh’s voice causes lightning to flash.
La voce del Signore sparge, a giusa di schegge, fiamme di fuoco.
8 His voice causes the desert to shake; he shakes Kadesh Desert [in the southern part of Judah].
La voce del Signore fa tremare il deserto; Il Signore fa tremare il deserto di Cades.
9 Yahweh’s voice shakes the huge oak trees and strips the leaves from the trees while the people in the temple shout, “Praise [God]!”
La voce del Signore fa partorir le cerve, E sfronda le selve; Ma [intanto] ciascuna predica [la sua] gloria nel suo Tempio.
10 Yahweh ruled over the flood [that covered the earth]; he is our King who will rule forever.
Il Signore nel diluvio siede; Anzi il Signore siede re in eterno.
11 Yahweh enables his people to be strong, and he blesses them by causing things to go well for them.
Il Signore darà forza al suo popolo; Il Signore benedirà il suo popolo in pace.
