Psalms 28

1 Yahweh, I call out to you; [you are like an overhanging] rock [under which I can hide]. Do not refuse to answer me, because if you are silent, I will soon be with those who are in their graves.

ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം. യഹോവേ, ഞാൻ അങ്ങയെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ പാറയായ അങ്ങ്, അവിടത്തെ കാതുകൾ എന്റെമുമ്പിൽ കൊട്ടിയടയ്ക്കരുതേ. അവിടന്ന് മൗനം അവലംബിച്ചാൽ, കുഴിയിൽ വെക്കപ്പെടുന്നവരെപ്പോലെ ഞാൻ ആയിത്തീരും.

2 Listen to me when I call out for you [to help me], when I pray, lifting up my hands as I face your sacred temple.

അവിടത്തെ അതിവിശുദ്ധ സ്ഥലത്തേക്ക് ഞാൻ എന്റെ കരങ്ങൾ ഉയർത്തുമ്പോൾ, സഹായത്തിനായി ഞാൻ വിളിക്കുമ്പോൾത്തന്നെ കരുണയ്ക്കായുള്ള എന്റെ വിലാപം കേൾക്കണമേ.

3 Do not drag me away with wicked people, with those who do wicked deeds, with those who pretend [to act] peacefully toward others while in their inner beings, they hate them.

അധർമം പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവരോടും ദുഷ്ടരോടുമൊപ്പം എന്നെ വലിച്ചിഴയ്ക്കരുതേ, അവർ അയൽവാസികളോട് സൗഹൃദത്തോടെ സംസാരിക്കുന്നു എന്നാൽ, ഹൃദയത്തിലവർ ദോഷം ആസൂത്രണംചെയ്യുന്നു.

4 Punish those people in the way that they deserve for what they have done; punish them for their evil deeds [DOU].

അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾക്കും ദ്രോഹകർമങ്ങൾക്കും യോഗ്യമായത് അവർക്കു നൽകണമേ; അവരുടെ കൈകളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾക്ക് അവരർഹിക്കുന്ന പ്രതിഫലംതന്നെ നൽകണമേ.

5 Yahweh, they do not pay attention to the [wonderful] things that you have done and that you have created; so get rid of them permanently and do not let them appear again!

കാരണം അവർ യഹോവയുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾ ആദരിക്കുന്നില്ല അവിടത്തെ കരവേലയോടും അങ്ങനെതന്നെ, അവിടന്ന് അവരെ ഇടിച്ചുനിരത്തും, പിന്നീടൊരിക്കലും പുനർനിർമിക്കുകയില്ല.

6 Praise Yahweh because he has heard me when I called out for him to help me!

യഹോവ വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെടട്ടെ, കരുണയ്ക്കായുള്ള എന്റെ യാചന അവിടന്ന് കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നല്ലോ.

7 Yahweh makes me strong and [protects] me [like a shield] [MET]; I trusted in him, and he helped me. I was glad, and from my inner being I praised him as I sang to him.

യഹോവ എന്റെ ബലവും എന്റെ പരിചയും ആകുന്നു; എന്റെ ഹൃദയം അങ്ങയിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കുകയും അവിടന്നെന്നെ സഹായിക്കുകയുംചെയ്യുന്നു. എന്റെ ഹൃദയം ആനന്ദാതിരേകത്താൽ തുള്ളിച്ചാടുന്നു, എന്നിൽനിന്നുയരുന്ന സംഗീതത്തോടെ ഞാൻ അവിടത്തെ സ്തുതിക്കും.

8 Yahweh causes us to be strong and protects us; and he saves me, the one he appointed [MTY] to be king.

യഹോവ തന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ശക്തിയാകുന്നു, തന്റെ അഭിഷിക്തന് രക്ഷനൽകുന്ന ഉറപ്പുള്ള കോട്ടയും ആകുന്നു.

9 Yahweh, save/rescue your people; bless those who belong to you. [Take care of them like] a shepherd [takes care of his sheep] [MET]; take care of them forever.

അങ്ങയുടെ ജനത്തെ രക്ഷിക്കുകയും അവിടത്തെ അവകാശത്തെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യണമേ; അവർക്ക് ഇടയനായിരുന്ന് എപ്പോഴും അവരെ കരങ്ങളിൽ വഹിക്കണമേ.
