Psalms 21
1 Yahweh, ([I], your king am glad/the king is glad) because you have caused me/him to be strong. (I rejoice/he rejoices) greatly because you have rescued me/him [from my/his enemies].
Fún adarí orin. Saamu ti Dafidi. Háà! Olúwa, ọba yóò yọ̀ nínú agbára rẹ, àti ní ìgbàlà rẹ, yóò ti yọ̀ pẹ́ tó!
2 You have given me/him the things that I/he [SYN] desired and you have not refused to do what I requested you to do.
Nítorí pé ìwọ ti fi ìfẹ́ ọkàn rẹ̀ fún un, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ìwọ kò sì dùn ún ní ìbéèrè ẹnu rẹ̀. (Sela)
3 In answer to my/his prayer, you enabled me/him to succeed and prosper. You placed a gold crown on my/his head.
Ìwọ ti fi àwọn ìbùkún oore kò ó ni ọ̀nà ìwọ fi adé wúrà dé e ní orí.
4 I/He asked you to enable me/him to live [for a long time], and that is what you gave me/him, a very long [HYP] life.
Ó béèrè fún ìyè, ìwọ sì fi fún un, àní ọjọ́ gígùn títí ayérayé.
5 (I am/He is) greatly honored because you have helped me/him to defeat my/his enemies; you have made me/him famous.
Ògo rẹ̀ pọ̀ nípasẹ̀ ìṣẹ́gun tí o fi fún un; ìwọ sì jẹ́ kí iyì ọláńlá rẹ̀ wà lára rẹ.
6 You will bless me/him forever, and you have caused me/him to be joyful in your presence.
Dájúdájú, ìwọ ti fi ìbùkún ayérayé fún un: ìwọ sì mú inú rẹ̀ dùn pẹ̀lú ayọ̀ ojú u rẹ̀.
7 Yahweh, you are God Almighty, and (I trust/the king trusts) in you. Because you faithfully love me/him, disastrous things will never happen to me/him.
Ọba ní ìgbẹ́kẹ̀lé nínú Olúwa; nípasẹ̀ ìfẹ́ Ọ̀gá-ògo tí kì í kùnà kì yóò sípò padà.
8 You will enable me/him to capture [MTY] all my/his enemies and all those who hate me/him.
Ọwọ́ rẹ yóò wá gbogbo àwọn ọ̀tá a rẹ rí; ọwọ́ ọ̀tún rẹ yóò wá àwọn tí o kórìíra rẹ rí.
9 When you appear, you will throw them into a fiery furnace. Because you are angry [with them], you will get rid of them; the fire will burn them up.
Nígbà tí ìwọ bá yọ ìwọ yóò mú wọn dàbí iná ìléru. Olúwa yóò gbé wọn mì nínú ìbínú rẹ̀, àti pé iná rẹ̀ yóò jó wọn run.
10 You will remove their children from this earth; their descendants will all disappear.
Ìwọ yóò pa ìrandíran wọn run kúrò lórí ilẹ̀, àti irú-ọmọ wọn kúrò láàrín àwọn ọmọ ènìyàn.
11 They planned to harm you, but what they plan will never succeed.
Bí o tilẹ̀ jẹ́ wí pé wọ́n ro èrò ibi sí ọ wọ́n sì ń pète ìwà ìkà, wọn kì yóò ṣe àṣeyọrí.
12 You will cause them to run away [IDM] by shooting arrows at them.
Nítorí pé ìwọ yóò mú wọn yí ẹ̀yìn wọn padà nígbà tí o bá pinnu láti ta wọ́n ní ọfà.
13 Yahweh, show us that you are very strong! When you do that, while we sing we will praise you because you are very powerful.
Gbígbéga ni ọ́ Olúwa, nínú agbára rẹ; a ó kọrin, a ó yín agbára a rẹ̀.
