< Psalms 149 >

1 Praise Yahweh! Sing a new song to Yahweh, praise him whenever [his] faithful [people] gather together!
Mou fakamālō kia Sihova. Hiva kia Sihova ʻaki ʻae hiva foʻou, mo e fakamālō kiate ia ʻi he fakataha ʻoe kakai māʻoniʻoni.
2 [You] Israeli people, be glad because of [what God], who created you, [has done for you]! You people of Jerusalem, rejoice because of [what God] your king [has done for you]!
Ke fiefia ʻa ʻIsileli ʻiate ia naʻa ne ngaohi ia: ke fiefia ʻae fānau ʻa Saione ʻi honau Tuʻi.
3 Praise Yahweh by dancing, by beating/playing tambourines, and by playing harps to praise him!
Kenau fakamālō ki hono huafa ʻi he meʻe: kenau hiva fakamālō kiate ia ʻaki ʻae lali iiki mo e haʻape.
4 Yahweh is pleased with his people; he honors humble [people] by helping them to defeat [their enemies].
He ʻoku fiefia ʻa Sihova ʻi hono kakai te ne teuteu ʻae angamalū ʻaki ʻae fakamoʻui.
5 God’s people should rejoice because they have won battles and they should sing joyfully all during the night!
Ke fiefia ʻae kakai māʻoniʻoni ʻi he nāunau: kenau hiva kalanga, ʻi honau ngaahi mohenga.
6 They [MTY] should shout loudly to praise God; but [they should also hold] sharp swords in their hands,
Ke ʻi honau ngutu ʻae fakamālō lahi ki he ʻOtua, pea ʻi honau nima ʻae heletā ʻoku fakatoumata;
7 [ready to use them] to defeat the [soldiers of] nations [that do not worship God], and to punish the people [of those nations],
Ke ʻatu ʻae totongi ki he hiteni, mo e ngaahi tautea ki he kakai:
8 and to fasten the arms and legs of their kings and other leaders with iron chains,
Ke haʻisia honau ngaahi tuʻi ʻaki ʻae ukamea fihifihi, mo honau houʻeiki ʻaki ʻae ngaahi haʻi ukamea;
9 to judge [and punish] the people of those nations, like [God] wrote/declared [should be done]. It is (a privilege/an honor) for God’s faithful people to do that! Praise Yahweh!
Ke fai kiate kinautolu ʻae fakamaau kuo tohi: kuo pehē ʻae hakeakiʻi ʻo ʻene kakai māʻoniʻoni kotoa pē. Mou fakamālō kia Sihova.
