Psalms 146
1 Praise Yahweh! With my whole inner being I will praise Yahweh.
Ẹ fi ìyìn fún Olúwa. Fi ìyìn fún Olúwa, ìwọ ọkàn mi.
2 I will praise Yahweh as long as I am alive; I will sing to praise my God for [the rest of] my life.
Èmi yóò yin Olúwa ní gbogbo ayé mi, èmi yóò kọrin ìyìn sí Ọlọ́run, níwọ̀n ìgbà tí mo bá wà láààyè.
3 [You people], do not trust in your leaders; do not trust humans because they cannot save/rescue you [from your difficulties/problems].
Ẹ má ṣe ní ìgbẹ́kẹ̀lé nínú àwọn ọmọ-aládé, àní, ọmọ ènìyàn, lọ́wọ́ ẹni tí kò sí ìrànlọ́wọ́.
4 And when they die, their corpses [decay and] become soil again. After they die, they can no longer do the things that they planned to do.
Ẹ̀mí rẹ jáde lọ, ó padà sí erùpẹ̀, ní ọjọ́ náà gan, èrò wọn yóò di òfo.
5 But those whose helper is the God whom Jacob [worshiped] are happy. The one whom they confidently expect [to help them] is Yahweh, their God.
Ìbùkún ni fún ẹni tí Ọlọ́run Jakọbu ń ṣe ìrànlọ́wọ́ rẹ̀ tí ìrètí rẹ̀ wà nínú Olúwa Ọlọ́run rẹ̀.
6 He is the one who created heaven and the earth and the oceans and all [the creatures] that are in them. He always does what he has promised to do.
Ẹni tí ó dá ọ̀run àti ayé, òkun àti ohun gbogbo tí ń bẹ nínú wọn, ẹni tí ó pa òtítọ́ mọ́ títí ayé.
7 He decides matters fairly for those who are (treated unfairly/oppressed), and he provides food for those who are hungry. He frees those who are in prison.
Ẹni tí ń ṣe ìdájọ́ àwọn tí a ni lára, tí ó fi oúnjẹ fún àwọn tí ebi ń pa, Olúwa, tú àwọn oǹdè sílẹ̀,
8 Yahweh enables those who are blind to see again. He lifts up those who have fallen down. He loves righteous [people].
Olúwa mú àwọn afọ́jú ríran, Olúwa, gbé àwọn tí a rẹ̀ sílẹ̀ ga, Olúwa fẹ́ràn àwọn olódodo.
9 Yahweh takes care of those from other countries who live in our land, and he helps widows and orphans. But he gets rid of wicked [people].
Olúwa ń dá ààbò bo àwọn àlejò ó sì ń dá àwọn aláìní baba àti opó sí ṣùgbọ́n ó ba ọ̀nà àwọn ènìyàn búburú jẹ́.
10 Yahweh will [continue to] be our king forever; you people of Israel, your God will rule forever! Praise Yahweh!
Olúwa jẹ ọba títí láé; Ọlọ́run rẹ, ìwọ Sioni, àti fún gbogbo ìran. Ẹ fi ìyìn fún Olúwa.
