< Psalms 146 >

1 Praise Yahweh! With my whole inner being I will praise Yahweh.
Monkamfo Awurade. Ao me ɔkra, kamfo Awurade!
2 I will praise Yahweh as long as I am alive; I will sing to praise my God for [the rest of] my life.
Mɛkamfo Awurade me nkwa nna nyinaa; mɛto ayɛyi dwom ama me Onyankopɔn, sɛ mete ase yi.
3 [You people], do not trust in your leaders; do not trust humans because they cannot save/rescue you [from your difficulties/problems].
Mommfa mo ho nto mmapɔmma so, adasamma a wɔrentumi nnye nkwa.
4 And when they die, their corpses [decay and] become soil again. After they die, they can no longer do the things that they planned to do.
Sɛ wɔn honhom tu kɔ a, wɔsane kɔ dɔteɛ mu, saa da no ara wɔn nsusuiɛ nyinaa yɛ kwa.
5 But those whose helper is the God whom Jacob [worshiped] are happy. The one whom they confidently expect [to help them] is Yahweh, their God.
Nhyira ne deɛ ne ɔboafoɔ ne Yakob Onyankopɔn, deɛ nʼanidasoɔ wɔ Awurade, ne Onyankopɔn mu.
6 He is the one who created heaven and the earth and the oceans and all [the creatures] that are in them. He always does what he has promised to do.
Ɔno ne ɔsoro ne asase Yɛfoɔ, ɛpo ne biribiara a ɛwɔ mu nyinaa Awurade a ɔyɛ nokwafoɔ daa no.
7 He decides matters fairly for those who are (treated unfairly/oppressed), and he provides food for those who are hungry. He frees those who are in prison.
Ɔdi ma wɔn a wɔhyɛ wɔn so, na ɔma wɔn a ɛkɔm de wɔn aduane. Awurade gyaa nneduafoɔ,
8 Yahweh enables those who are blind to see again. He lifts up those who have fallen down. He loves righteous [people].
Awurade ma anifirafoɔ hunu adeɛ. Awurade pagya wɔn a wɔakom. Awurade dɔ teneneefoɔ.
9 Yahweh takes care of those from other countries who live in our land, and he helps widows and orphans. But he gets rid of wicked [people].
Awurade hwɛ ahɔhoɔ so na ɔwowa nwisiaa ne akunafoɔ, na amumuyɛfoɔ akwan deɛ, ɔdane ani.
10 Yahweh will [continue to] be our king forever; you people of Israel, your God will rule forever! Praise Yahweh!
Sion, Awurade wo Onyankopɔn di ɔhene daa daa, wɔ awoɔ ntoatoasoɔ nyinaa so. Monkamfo Awurade.
