Psalms 146
1 Praise Yahweh! With my whole inner being I will praise Yahweh.
¡Alaben al Señor! ¡Yo alabo al Señor con todo mi ser!
2 I will praise Yahweh as long as I am alive; I will sing to praise my God for [the rest of] my life.
Alabaré al Señor mientras viva. Cantaré alabanzas a Dios mientras respire.
3 [You people], do not trust in your leaders; do not trust humans because they cannot save/rescue you [from your difficulties/problems].
No pongan su confianza en los líderes humanos. Ellos no pueden salvarnos.
4 And when they die, their corpses [decay and] become soil again. After they die, they can no longer do the things that they planned to do.
Tan solo después de un suspiro vuelven al polvo, y ese día todos sus planes mueren con ellos.
5 But those whose helper is the God whom Jacob [worshiped] are happy. The one whom they confidently expect [to help them] is Yahweh, their God.
Felices los que tienen al Dios de Jacob como su ayudador. Su esperanza es el Señor su Dios.
6 He is the one who created heaven and the earth and the oceans and all [the creatures] that are in them. He always does what he has promised to do.
El que hizo el cielo y la tierra, el mar con todo lo que en ellos hay. Él es fiel para siempre.
7 He decides matters fairly for those who are (treated unfairly/oppressed), and he provides food for those who are hungry. He frees those who are in prison.
Él garantiza la justicia para los oprimidos. Él da alimento al hambriento. El Señor libera a los prisioneros.
8 Yahweh enables those who are blind to see again. He lifts up those who have fallen down. He loves righteous [people].
El Señor devuelve la vista a los ciegos; levanta a los agobiados, y ama a los que hacen lo recto.
9 Yahweh takes care of those from other countries who live in our land, and he helps widows and orphans. But he gets rid of wicked [people].
El Señor cuida de los extranjeros que habitan entre nosotros. Él cuida de las viudas y los huérfanos. Sin embargo, no deja prosperar a los malvados.
10 Yahweh will [continue to] be our king forever; you people of Israel, your God will rule forever! Praise Yahweh!
El Señor reinará para siempre. Oh, Sión, él será tu Dios por todas las generaciones. ¡Alaben al Señor!
