< Psalms 146 >

1 Praise Yahweh! With my whole inner being I will praise Yahweh.
Alleluja! Slavē To Kungu, mana dvēsele.
2 I will praise Yahweh as long as I am alive; I will sing to praise my God for [the rest of] my life.
Es slavēšu To Kungu, kamēr dzīvošu, es dziedāšu savam Dievam, kamēr vēl še būšu.
3 [You people], do not trust in your leaders; do not trust humans because they cannot save/rescue you [from your difficulties/problems].
Nepaļaujaties uz lieliem kungiem, uz cilvēku bērniem, kas nekā nevar palīdzēt.
4 And when they die, their corpses [decay and] become soil again. After they die, they can no longer do the things that they planned to do.
Cilvēka garam jāiziet, viņam jāpaliek atkal zemes kārtā, tai dienā visi viņa nodomi iet bojā.
5 But those whose helper is the God whom Jacob [worshiped] are happy. The one whom they confidently expect [to help them] is Yahweh, their God.
Svētīgs tas, kam Jēkaba Dievs par palīgu un kam cerība stāv uz To Kungu, savu Dievu!
6 He is the one who created heaven and the earth and the oceans and all [the creatures] that are in them. He always does what he has promised to do.
Viņš debesis un zemi radījis, jūru un visu, kas tur iekšā; Viņš uzticību tur mūžīgi.
7 He decides matters fairly for those who are (treated unfairly/oppressed), and he provides food for those who are hungry. He frees those who are in prison.
Viņš tiesu nes tiem, kas varas darbus cieš, dod maizi izsalkušiem. Tas Kungs atsvabina cietumniekus.
8 Yahweh enables those who are blind to see again. He lifts up those who have fallen down. He loves righteous [people].
Tas Kungs atdara akliem acis, Tas Kungs uzceļ nospiestus; Tas Kungs mīļo taisnus.
9 Yahweh takes care of those from other countries who live in our land, and he helps widows and orphans. But he gets rid of wicked [people].
Tas Kungs pasargā svešiniekus un bāriņus un uztur atraitnes, bet bezdievīgiem Viņš ceļus samaitā.
10 Yahweh will [continue to] be our king forever; you people of Israel, your God will rule forever! Praise Yahweh!
Tas Kungs valdīs mūžīgi, tavs Dievs, ak Ciāna, līdz radu radiem. Alleluja!
