Psalms 136
1 Thank Yahweh, because he does good things [for us]; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| ارْفَعُوا الشُّكْرَ لِلرَّبِّ لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ. | ١ |
2 Thank God, the one who is greater than all other gods; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| ارْفَعُوا الشُّكْرَ لإِلَهِ الآلِهَةِ، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ. | ٢ |
3 Thank the Lord who is greater than all other lords/rulers; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| ارْفَعُوا الشُّكْرَ لِرَبِّ الأَرْبَابِ، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ. | ٣ |
4 He is the only one who performs great miracles; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| الصَّانِعِ الْعَجَائِبَ الْعِظَامَ وَحْدَهُ، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ. | ٤ |
5 He is the one who by being very wise created the heavens; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| الصَّانِعِ السَّمَاوَاتِ بِحِكْمَةٍ، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ. | ٥ |
6 He is the one who caused the ground to rise up above the deep waters; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| الْبَاسِطِ الأَرْضَ فَوْقَ الْمِيَاهِ، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ. | ٦ |
7 He is the one who created great lights [in the sky]; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| الصَّانِعِ الأَنْوَارَ الْعَظِيمَةَ لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ. | ٧ |
8 He created the sun to shine in the daytime; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| الشَّمْسَ لِتُضِيءَ نَهَاراً، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ. | ٨ |
9 He created the moon and stars to shine during the nighttime; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| وَالْقَمَرَ وَالْكَوَاكِبَ لِتُنِيرَ لَيْلاً، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ. | ٩ |
10 He is the one who killed the firstborn [males] in Egypt; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| الَّذِي ضَرَبَ مِصْرَ مَعَ أَبْكَارِهَا، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ. | ١٠ |
11 He led the Israeli people out of Egypt; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| وَأَخْرَجَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ مِنْ وَسَطِهِمْ، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ. | ١١ |
12 With his (strong hand/great power) he led them out; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| بِيَدٍ شَدِيدَةٍ وَذِرَاعٍ قَدِيرَةٍ، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ. | ١٢ |
13 He is the one who caused the Red Sea to divide; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| الَّذِي فَلَقَ الْبَحْرَ الأَحْمَرَ إِلَى شَطْرَيْنِ، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ. | ١٣ |
14 He enabled the Israeli people to walk through it [on dry land]; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| وَأَجَازَ الإِسْرَائِيلِيِّينَ فِي وَسَطِهِ، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ. | ١٤ |
15 But he caused the king of Egypt and his army to drown in it; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| وَدَفَعَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَجَيْشَهُ إِلَى الْبَحْرِ، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ. | ١٥ |
16 He is the one who led his people [safely through the desert]; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| الَّذِي قَادَ شَعْبَهُ فِي الْبَرِّيَّةِ، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ. | ١٦ |
17 He killed powerful kings; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| الَّذِي أَطَاحَ بِمُلُوكٍ عُظَمَاءَ. لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ. | ١٧ |
18 He killed kings who were famous; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| وَقَتَلَ مُلُوكاً ذَوِي شُهْرَةٍ، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ. | ١٨ |
19 He killed Sihon, the king of the Amor people-group; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| كَسِيحُونَ مَلِكِ الأَمُورِيِّينَ، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ. | ١٩ |
20 He killed Og, the king of Bashan [region]; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| وَعُوجَ مَلِكِ بَاشَانَ، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ. | ٢٠ |
21 He gave their lands to us, his people; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| وَأَعْطَى أَرْضَهُمْ مِيرَاثاً، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ. | ٢١ |
22 He gave those lands to us people of Israel, who serve him; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| مِيرَاثاً لإِسْرَائِيلَ عَبْدِهِ، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ. | ٢٢ |
23 He is the one who did not forget about us when we were defeated [by our enemies]; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| الَّذِي ذَكَرَنَا فِي مَذَلَّتِنَا، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ. | ٢٣ |
24 He rescued us from our enemies; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| وَخَلَّصَنَا مِنْ أَعْدَائِنَا، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ. | ٢٤ |
25 He is the one who gives food to all living creatures; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| الَّذِي يَرْزُقُ خُبْزاً كُلَّ بَشَرٍ، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ. | ٢٥ |
26 [So] thank God, [who lives in] heaven, [for all those things], because his faithful love [for us] endures forever!
| ارْفَعُوا الشُّكْرَ لإِلَهِ السَّمَاوَاتِ، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ. | ٢٦ |
