Psalms 132
1 Yahweh, do not forget [King] David and all the hardships/troubles he endured!
ಯಾತ್ರಾ ಗೀತೆ. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ದಾವೀದನನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಶ್ರಮೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ.
2 He made a solemn promise to you, the mighty God whom [our ancestor] Jacob [worshiped].
ದಾವೀದನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಆಣೆ ಇಟ್ಟು, ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಿಯಾದ ಯಾಕೋಬನ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಹೀಗೆಂದು ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿದನು:
3 He said, “I will not go home, I will not [rest] on my bed,
“ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನೂ, ಯಾಕೋಬನ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ನಿವಾಸವನ್ನೂ ಕಟ್ಟುವವರೆಗೆ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ,
4 I will not sleep at all
ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಮನೆ ಸೇರೆನು; ನನ್ನ ಮಂಚವನ್ನು ಏರೆನು.
5 until I build a place for Yahweh, a home for the mighty God whom Jacob [worshiped].”
ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳಿಗೆ ನಿದ್ದೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಡೆನು, ನನ್ನ ರೆಪ್ಪೆಗಳಿಗೆ ತೂಕಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನೂ ಕೊಡೆನು.”
6 In Bethlehem we heard news about the sacred chest. We [went and] found it in the fields of Jearim [city, and we took it to Jerusalem].
ನಾವು ಎಫ್ರಾತದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದೆವು; ಯಹಾರ್ ಅಡವಿಯ ಬಯಲುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಹೀಗೆಂದು ಕೇಳಿಸಿಕೊಂಡೆವು:
7 [Later we said], “Let’s go to the temple of Yahweh [in Jerusalem]; let’s worship [there] in front of the throne [where he sits].”
“ಬನ್ನಿರಿ ನಾವು ದೇವರ ಮಂದಿರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ, ಅವರ ಪಾದಪೀಠದಲ್ಲಿ ಆರಾಧಿಸೋಣ.
8 Yahweh, come to the place where you live eternally, to the place where your sacred chest is, to that place that shows that you are very powerful.
‘ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ಎದ್ದು ನಿಮ್ಮ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ; ನೀವೂ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಶಕ್ತಿಯುತ ಮಂಜೂಷವೂ ಬರಲಿ.
9 I want/desire that the righteous behavior of your priests [will always be evident], [just like the beautiful] robes that they wear [MET], and that your people will [always] shout joyfully.
ನಿಮ್ಮ ಯಾಜಕರು ನೀತಿಯೆಂಬ ವಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿ; ನಿಮ್ಮ ಭಕ್ತರು ಉತ್ಸಾಹಧ್ವನಿ ಮಾಡಲಿ.’”
10 You chose David to serve you [as king of Israel]; do not reject/abandon him!
ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ದಾವೀದನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಅಭಿಷಿಕ್ತನನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಬೇಡಿರಿ.
11 Yahweh, you made a solemn promise to David, a promise that you will not break. You said, “I will cause your descendants to rule [MTY] as kings like you.
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಸತ್ಯದ ಆಣೆ ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ತಾವು ಹೀಗೆಂದು ಆಣೆಯಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಟ್ಟ ಮಾತನ್ನು ದೇವರು ಬದಲಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, “ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿಯವನನ್ನೇ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳ್ಳಿರಿಸುವೆನು.
12 If they keep my agreement with them and obey [all] the commands that I will give them, the line of kings descended from you will never end.”
ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ನನ್ನ ಶಾಸನಗಳನ್ನೂ ನನ್ನ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಿ, ಕೈಗೊಂಡರೆ, ಅವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಸಹ ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂರುವರು.”
13 Yahweh has chosen Jerusalem; he has wanted to make that city his home;
ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಚೀಯೋನನ್ನು ಆಯ್ದುಕೊಂಡು ಅದನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ವಾಸಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಹೀಗೆಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ:
14 he said, “This is the city where I will live forever [DOU]; this is the place where I wanted to stay.
“ಇದೇ ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ನನ್ನ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯ ಸ್ಥಳವಾಗಿರುವುದು; ಇಲ್ಲೇ ವಾಸಿಸುವೆನು; ಇದನ್ನು ನಾನು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಇಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನಾರೂಢನಾಗಿರುವೆನು.
15 I will give to the people of Jerusalem all that they need; I will give [enough] food [even] to satisfy the poor people there.
ಧಾರಾಳವಾಗಿ ದವಸಧಾನ್ಯಗಳಿರಲೆಂದು ನಾನು ಚೀಯೋನನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸುವೆನು; ಇಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವ ಬಡವರು ಉಂಡು ಸಂತೃಪ್ತಿಯಿಂದಿರುವರು.
16 I will cause the priests [to behave in a manner worthy of] being ones whom I have saved; [that will be as evident as the beautiful] robes that they wear [MET]; and all my people who live there will shout joyfully.
ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಯಾಜಕರಿಗೆ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊದಿಸುವೆನು; ಚೀಯೋನಿನ ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತ ಸೇವಕರು ಉತ್ಸಾಹಧ್ವನಿಯಿಂದ ಹಾಡುವರು.
17 There [in Jerusalem] I will cause one of David’s descendants [MET] to become a great king; he also will be my chosen king, and he will be [like a bright] lamp [MET] [that shines continually].
“ಇಲ್ಲಿ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಬಲದಾಯಕ ಅರಸನನ್ನು ಚಿಗುರುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು; ನನ್ನ ಅಭಿಷಿಕ್ತನಿಗೆ ದೀಪವನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
18 I will [defeat his] enemies and cause them to be very ashamed/disgraced; but the crown that my king wears will [always] shine.”
ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಗೆ ನಾಚಿಕೆಯ ವಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನು ಹೊದಿಸುವೆನು; ಆದರೆ ಆತನ ತೆರೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಿರೀಟವು ಶೋಭಿಸುವುದು.”
