Psalms 131

1 Yahweh, I am not proud and I have not thought highly about (myself/the things that I have done). And I do not concern myself about things [that you have done] that are very big or very wonderful.

Senhor, o meu coração não se elevou nem os meus olhos se levantaram: não me exército em grandes materias, nem em coisas muito elevadas para mim

2 Instead, I am calm and peaceful, like a [small] child who lies quietly in its mother’s arms [SIM]. In the same way, I am peaceful.

Certamente que me tenho portado e sossegado como uma criança desmamada de sua mãe: a minha alma está como uma criança desmamada.

3 You [my fellow] Israelis, confidently expect that Yahweh [will do good things for you], now and forever!

Espere Israel no Senhor, desde agora e para sempre.
