Psalms 129

1 [I say that] my enemies have (afflicted/caused trouble for) me ever since I was young. [Now I ask you, my fellow] Israelis, to repeat those same words:

ಯಾತ್ರಾ ಗೀತೆ. “ನನ್ನ ಯೌವನದಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ಬಹಳ ಬಾಧಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ,” ಎಂದು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲು ಹೇಳಲಿ.

2 “Our enemies have afflicted us since our nation began, but they have not defeated us!

“ನನ್ನ ಯೌವನದಿಂದ ವೈರಿಗಳು ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ದಬ್ಬಾಳಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು; ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ವಿಜಯ ಸಾಧಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.

3 [Our enemies struck us with whips] that cut into our backs [MET] like a [farmer uses a] plow to cut deep furrows into the ground.”

ಊಳುವವರು ನನ್ನ ಬೆನ್ನಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಉತ್ತಿದರು, ಉದ್ದವಾದ ಗಾಯಗೆರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರು

4 [But] Yahweh is righteous, and he has freed [me] from being a slave [MTY] of wicked [people].

ಆದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನೀತಿವಂತರು; ದುಷ್ಟರು ಹಾಕಿದ ಬಂಧಗಳನ್ನು ದೇವರು ಕಡಿದು, ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.”

5 I wish/hope that all those who hate Jerusalem/Israel will be ashamed because of being defeated.

ಚೀಯೋನನ್ನು ದ್ವೇಷಿಸುವವರೆಲ್ಲರು ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಟ್ಟು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಲಿ.

6 I hope/wish that they will be [of no value], like grass that grows on the roofs of houses that dries up and does not grow tall;

ಅವರು ಮಾಳಿಗೆ ಮೇಲಿನ ಹುಲ್ಲಿನಂತೆ ಆಗಲಿ. ಅವು ಬೆಳೆಯುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಂಚೆ ಒಣಗಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ.

7 [as a result] no one [cuts it and] puts it in bundles and carries it away.

ಅದರಿಂದ ಕೊಯ್ಯುವವನು ತನ್ನ ಕೈ ತುಂಬಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳನು, ಸಿವುಡು ಕಟ್ಟುವವನು ತನ್ನ ಉಡಿಯನ್ನೂ ತುಂಬಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾರನು.

8 People who pass by [and see men harvesting grain usually greet them by saying to them], “We wish/hope that Yahweh will bless you!” But this will not happen [to those who hate Israel]. We, acting as Yahweh’s representatives, bless you [Israelis.]

“ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರಲಿ; ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ,” ಎಂದು ಹಾದುಹೋಗುವವರು ಹೇಳದಿರಲಿ.
