Psalms 129

1 [I say that] my enemies have (afflicted/caused trouble for) me ever since I was young. [Now I ask you, my fellow] Israelis, to repeat those same words:

Nagrama mofavrema mani'noreti agafama huteno'ma e'neana, ha' vahe'nimo'za hara eme hunante'za nazeri haviza hutere hu'naze. Ama ana nanekea maka Israeli vahe'mota namage anteta hiho.

2 “Our enemies have afflicted us since our nation began, but they have not defeated us!

Nagrama mofavrema mani'noreti agafama huteno'ma e'neana, ha' vahenimo'za hara eme hunante'za nazeri haviza hutere hu'naze. Hianagi nagrira hara hunagateore'naze.

3 [Our enemies struck us with whips] that cut into our backs [MET] like a [farmer uses a] plow to cut deep furrows into the ground.”

Ha' vahe'mo'zama sefu'ma nami'naza zamo'a nagumpina, hozama antenaku'ma hozafu vahe'mo'za zazate'ma tinkama asazaza huno tinka evu evu hu'ne.

4 [But] Yahweh is righteous, and he has freed [me] from being a slave [MTY] of wicked [people].

Hianagi Ra Anumzamo'a fatgo hu'neankino, kefo avu'ava'ma nehaza vahe'mo'zama kinama renante'naza nofira ahekano hutrege'na fru hu'na mani'noe.

5 I wish/hope that all those who hate Jerusalem/Israel will be ashamed because of being defeated.

Jerusalemi kuma'ma zamago'ma tenentaza vahera, zamarotago hanage'za rukrahe hu'za nefre'za zamagazegu hanaze.

6 I hope/wish that they will be [of no value], like grass that grows on the roofs of houses that dries up and does not grow tall;

Ana vahe'mo'za nomofo agofetu'ma nehagea trazamo'ma mareri za'za osu'neno hagege hiaza hu'za, zamagra zazatera omanine'za hagege hugahaze.

7 [as a result] no one [cuts it and] puts it in bundles and carries it away.

Ana trazana witima vasage vahe'mo'a azampina eri aviotege, kona anakigera osugosie.

8 People who pass by [and see men harvesting grain usually greet them by saying to them], “We wish/hope that Yahweh will bless you!” But this will not happen [to those who hate Israel]. We, acting as Yahweh’s representatives, bless you [Israelis.]
