Psalms 125

1 Those/We who trust in Yahweh are [as secure/steadfast] [SIM] as Zion Hill, which cannot be shaken and can never be moved.

En visa i högre choren. De som hoppas uppå Herran, de skola icke falla, utan evinnerliga blifva, såsom det berget Zion.

2 Like the hills that surround Jerusalem [protect the city], Yahweh protects [us], his people, and he will protect us forever.

Omkring Jerusalem äro berg; och Herren är omkring sitt folk, ifrå nu och i evighet.

3 Wicked people [MTY] should not [be allowed to] rule over the land where righteous [people] live. If they did that, those righteous [people] might [(be encouraged to imitate them and]) do things that are wrong.

Ty de ogudaktigas spira skall icke blifva öfver de rättfärdigas hop; på det de rättfärdige icke skola uträcka sina hand till orättfärdighet.

4 Yahweh, do good things to those who do good things to others and to those who sincerely obey your commands [IDM].

Herre, gör väl vid dem som gode och fromhjertade äro.

5 But when you punish the wicked people [who are not Israelis], also punish those [Israelis] who turn away from walking on the good roads [MET] that you have shown them! I wish that things will go well for [people in] Israel!

Men de som afvika uppå deras vrånga vägar, dem skall Herren bortdrifva med de ogerningsmän. Men frid vare öfver Israel.
